I need to buy some factory ammo for my .308 so I'll be ready to shoot whenever mine gets shipped. Any recommendations on what a Larue 18" 7.62 likes to be fed for accuracy and reliability?

My two 18” tOBRs and 16” FDE Heavy will produce sub 1/2 MOA groups with FGMM 175 SMK.

Wait, let me see if I've got this right.... 1)You ordered the Tranquilo(s) via Larue.com when you ordered your UU Kit; 2)You went in person to a "Powered by Silencer Shop" dealer and used the kiosk to submit your Form 4. 3)????? 4)You went and picked up your Tranquillo(s) from said dealer. How does this work? I was under the impression this only worked for suppressors ordered from Silencer Shop. Did I miss something fantastic somewhere? I had to did the form work on the Kisok & pay the Stamp fee to SS, I think they charged me $5 per stamp on top of the $200 stamp fee, and they submitted the form. After about 8mo the stamps went to my shop where the TransQuilo's were being held capture and Bingo, Bango, Bongo & Irving I picked them up. Quoted: Well you probably also paid your Powered By dealer a transfer fee on top of the $205 for the stamp. View Quote |

Quoted: That is correct, and that came as a bit of a surprise as I wasn't told all of the fees, or I overlooked them, when I set it up. The fees were $75 per can, $50 transfer & $25 to cover the fee SS charged him. I was unaware of the $25, but paid it since I was happy to finally get them. View Quote |

The off hand groups Im getting at 25 and 50yds using an MRO and 855 maybe I need to rethink this things purpose is I guess. And like I said finding out it came with a LPK was a nice suprise but the trigger to its more than a 99 dollar trigger. Which brings me to my question the spare spring is it a spare or a different weight?

Thank you for all the ammo recommendations.
I guess it's chambered in 7.62x51, so I will avoid 308 win ammo. |

My 7.62 18" FDE UU is out for delivery. Ordered 5/5. I milled a lower and duracoated the lower Magpul FDE a couple weeks ago. The SO is home waiting on UPS. Can't wait to get home from work tonight and put this rifle together. If the lower I milled works out ok I'll let you know. Have Larue lower ordered too.

This was worth the wait.
I dont have my Larue lower yet so i slapped it on a lower I milled a few weeks ago. Everything fits and functions fine. Taking it out to sight in irons Saturday. I wont have my glass until next month. I feel like I have a Ferrari of firearms here. This is very nice. https://photos.app.goo.gl/t8S9uFsv242Y1pA78 |

View Quote I ordered my UU 762 with LaRue lower back in mid-march. 3-19-2018 to be exact. Along with that I ordered the Tranquilo suppressor. My UU kit and Larue Lower arrived before the end of March. Nicely done on that. My Question is: When is my Tranquilo going to ship? It has been over six months and hasn't even been sent to my FFL yet. Please advise as my last two support inquiries were not replied to. Thank you, L_S |

Incredible.
Ordered yesterday Monday 01 Oct at around 10am. Received tracking info by 5pm same day. It'll be delivered today Tuesday 02 Oct. Granted, I'm in San Antonio, only about 2 hours away from Leander. That's still impressive as hell. |

ordered 14.5" 223 UU and lower, 22" 6.5c UU and lower and tranquillo on 3/19. best friend ordered the exact same 12 hours prior to me submitting my order. all our uppers/lowers shipped independently of any other part of our order. we've both gotten all uppers/lowers by now. his tranquillo finally shipped 8/29. i've not heard a peep about mine. called customer service tuesday a week ago (10 days ago), was told flat out "we ship them as they are ordered, we don't skip over anyone". sooo.... i pointed out my buddy and i ordered within a day of each other and his shipped, mine hasn't. basically customer rep called b.s. on me until he looked up our orders. then he changed his tune. put me on hold a minute, came back to tell me my tranquillo will ship that friday. well... we're friday a week later now, still no tranquillo shipped.
don't make promises you can't keep. |

there's currently 4 complete larue rifles in my safe as well as numerous other individual products (triggers, mounts and stealth barrels) on other builds. I've formerly been a much more active participant on other forums, i've publicly and privately thanked both Mark in person and the team at larue for their support of the shooting sports by donating products as prize table gifts. I've volunteered my time and travel expenses to RO the 2012 larue range day at BOTW. I've ordered from larue before this UU purchase, i've ordered other products since making that order. i've recommended that same purchase, as well as the MBT (x3) and new LT204 since the UU order and to several other friends who've taken advantage of it. I've made the comment to several people approaching me to build them rifles that "i can't source and build you a rifle thats better dollar for dollar than you can currently buy from larue with the UU", and i stand by my words. the average "nice" rifle i build for myself or close friends (rifle only, no optic) tends to be about $2100 in parts bought carefully and after searching for deals. thats a far cry from the roughly $1k you can obtain a UU and stealth lower for right now (thank you Mark)
What i posted was truth. orders placed within hours of each other, identical product shipped to one and not the other, words from customer service that do not match actions taken. this will be the last time i address this in forum, nor will i respond to further jabs. if you wish to attempt to goad me further please use the PM feature as I will not add further drama to this vendors section. If my previous post offended the team at LaRue, whats been said can't be unsaid. I will continue to be a customer, and a proud Texan purchasing form a Texas company. |

I’m not saying it didn’t happen nor am saying I probably wouldn’t feel the same way. I just always find it amusing when people join forums just to complain which based on your first post being a complaint I’m guessing that’s what you did. Sounds like you have a nice collection of LaRues. I agree, there isn’t a better gun out there for the money.
