I use the BCM small parts anytime I don't need to use a Colt part and have been happy, I don't inspect things as thoroughly as you do so I'm looking forward to your findings.

Bravo Company is one of those companies that I don't suspect to be selling crap parts. I don't buy a lot of things from them, but I have bought a few things over the years and everything has been of good quality. Their gas keys, detachable carry handles, and rifle buffers have all been very good. The only thing that bothered me about any of my Bravo Company purchases was the rifle buffers. Not that they weren't quality, but they were inconsistent and every one I received appeared to be made by a different buffer manufacturer. It just indicates that they outsource to a few different places for that particular item. When I settle on an item from any particular company, I want it to be that same exact item every time I order it... Seems that has only been possible with Colt for the longest time, but even that has changed on some of their parts.
So I do expect the Bravo Company castle nuts to be of good quality even if they aren't made by the same place that makes Colt's castle nuts. If anything the finish might look a little different than that of the Colt's. I can live with that, but I can't say it won't be at least a little triggering for my OCD.
I put LMT in a similar category as Bravo Company, but I'm just looking for mil-spec (as close to Colt as possible) parts. LMT tends to make little design changes on certain items, like the different staking notched on their castle nuts is a prime example of that. Not that it's bad, it's just different and likely better, but it won't resemble a mil-spec or Colt part. Which again, is all very triggering to my OCD.
