These just came in today.
I obtained these from the Diemaco lawyer in charge of defending them against colt in the 90’s. Colt was suing due to patent infringement as diemaco was outsourcing to the us for parts and also wanting to ship these simulators to FATS.
These were shipped from diemaco to the law office in new York and I have the original shipping paperwork as well as a COA from the previous owner.
The cutaway is a C7A1 and it’s unique as Canada does not see these as guns. There is no serial and no Diemaco markings anywhere on it as the magwell has been heavily removed. The only markings are the selector markings.
The Simulator gun says imported by FATS and the lower is technically a functioning lower as I tested it with a 6920 upper. Thankfully no auto sear pin hole so it’s just semi. It is also serialized and was an attempt at Diemaco to make these for FATS using the specs colt gave them hence the lawsuit.
Both came with original shipping boxes and the schematics that Diemaco shipped with them which are also shown.
Literally no info on these anywhere at least that I can find.
The cutaway I’ll have another semi lower made and put it back together at some point as here in the US it’s still a gun but the original full auto lower was demilled.
Anyone know anything about FATS guns used here in the IS? I know bushmaster makes quite a few but were they the only ones?
