30x is too much top end. That's where the reticle will be at max zoom and you'll have situational awareness of looking through a drinking straw and you'll magnify your own heartbeat shake too much. For a pure benchrest thing, yeah big zoom to the moon but for something you'll shoot from prone or positional get less magnification.
5-25x, 3-18x are more than sufficient.

Something to consider, a 4.5-30 or 6-36 allows you to dial down if needed. You can’t magically dial a 5-25 or 3-18 up to 30x or above. I keep my 6-36’s and 7-35’s around 12x for matches/barricades but can dial up for prone/small targets if needed.
Magnification/objective alone doesn’t determine FoV. My Gen3 Razors have a wider FOV than ZCO’s when at the same magnification.
The whole heartbeat thing is overstated imo. If you’re moving that much with high magnification you’d be doing it with low magnification, just not seeing it. Regardless, you’d be opening up your group either way. I shoot quite a bit over 30x, chugging red bulls on the way to the range. I’ve never thought “damn, my heartbeat is moving my reticle”.
