Yesterday I received the .22LR pencil barrel & bolt combo I’d ordered. It looks like good stuff and the price seems insanely low. Unfortunately after I’d opened the bag and was checking the fit of a front sight base on the barrel I realized the FSB shoulder appears to be in a mid-length position rather than standard carbine. Is this correct? I’d just assumed it was carbine length since it’s a “pencil” profile and it’s not specified in the illustration. I’d wanted to use this barrel for a retro .22 carbine (Air Force GAU-5) so a mid-length won’t work. Even worse, the barrel is out of the package and there may be a small smudge from sliding on the FSB so I can’t return it.

That is definitely our mistake. We used that drawing to show the overall length since .22LR barrels are measured from different points than most AR barrels due to the chamber location. Not sure how it got passed us but that drawing had the incorrect journal location, as you pointed out.
We'll get you swapped out no problem, even with the scuff marks. We'll use that barrel for a giveaway event
We are checking the M4 barrel now. Will be back with you shortly
