I've got a KAC SR-25 and I need a 30mm optic mount. My question is whether the "standard" Geissele AR15 optic mounts are good to go on a SR25/AR10 platform, or if it's better to go with one of their SR25 mounts???

My experience with Geissele mounts is this: pay very little attention to the optic or the rifle in the mount description. These very well might have been "certified" by the optic manufacturer or the rifle manufacturer, or SOCOM, etc., but the scope will work with many optics.
Most of the Geissele SR25 mounts are for 34mm optics, like the Mark 8, Mark 5, S&B, etc. There are two main differences between AR10 and AR15 mounts, in general. The first is the 7.62 mount will likely have more grip and maybe a little longer. This is to help with recoil, but probably not essential. The size is because it can, since a 7.62 upper receiver is longer. The second difference is that most often a larger scope will need to be canted forward on an AR15, due to the very limited rail space. A 7.62 mount is often not canted, or is less so, since the real estate is more forgiving.
The basics of picking a mount are still the same, how do you want the eyepiece placed, and do you have enough room between rings for the turrets.
