Feeling a lot of frustration with the specs on your new pencil barrels
listed for sale here. Myself and dozens of others wrote in questions going back around 2 weeks now (likely longer, I personally first asked about 2 weeks ago), asking for correct weights (the weights published are obviously wildly incorrect - or these are the heaviest pencil barrels ever made by about double). Someone there obviously saw those questions, because several of them were published under the "questions" section. Someone there even replied to all of the questions saying 'Thank you for reporting the error.". Someone there (name listed as Jake) even said the 16 inch is 1.35 lbs and changed the listed weight of the 16 inch version of the barrel more than a week ago (April 27), but did not correct any of the other 6 variations of the product, nor did they confirm (or deny) that 1.35lbs was "I weighed it with a scale", or "people are complaining, it should be about 1.35lbs, so I'll answer with that". Since I was frustrated with the lack of response to product questions, I have also used the chat feature to ask for correct specs. The chat person could not personally go weigh one, but they said they sent it to their manager to get it looked into. That was last week - still nothing.
Anyway - what's the deal? It should be glaringly obvious to your marketing team that any barrel with "pencil" or "light weight" or similar in its description is marketed to those of us who count grams and ounces when building our guns. We want precise weights, and if you even so much as tell us it's 21.34 ounces and it's really 22.87 ounces, that's more than enough of a discrepancy to drive us crazy and get bad press. So your target audience here really wants the correct weight, and we want it a lot. I can guarantee you that this situation has hurt sales by at least one (me), and I am confident I'm not the only one.
So OK, someone missed the importance of that detail when writing the marketing description, fine, it happens, let's correct the mistake and move on. However, the first part of moving on, is correcting the mistake, and we're still waiting on that.
Thanks, and apologies for the rant.
