And the New Frontier made 9mm lowers... and... lots of stuff. They don't have to disclose their vendors, but they should. We always find out, and sometimes it's obvious.
OP is exactly correct that PSA needs Configuration Management of their product lines.
For example- there are two separate SKUs on their site... something with a 16" barrel... with identical specs on absolutely everything. What's the real difference? OR did someone just add a product to the catalog by accident? Who is responsible for managing the catalog?
The spec listings were an excellent addition to the site. IF it were my business (it is not) I would add additional pictures to each catalog item.
I would introduce naming nomenclature and group parts- one for barrels (Crap, Nitride, SS, and Chrome)... one for gas system... one for handguards (seriously... does anyone have a handle on this? I am very pleased with my lightweight-MLOK-2screw, but naming them anything would be a good idea)... one for furniture (A2/M4, MOE, and add MIAD/CTR for handguards with QDs)... one for FCG (Std, EPT, and NONE)...
SO a listing would be:
Nitride-Mid-Betty-MOE-EPT for what I ordered on Black Friday... Betty being whatever you want to list out the rails and call them, maybe standard is Alice, lightweight is Betty, slanted is Carol... whatever...
Instead of:
CLASSIC FREEDOM NATO 1/7 WHATEVER
