Team,
In the last couple of months I've purchase two PSA Uppers. One is an 8.5" .300 Blackout with what I believe is an Anchor Harvey forged upper receiver. The other is a 7.5" 5.56mm upper with no discernible forging marks.
While attempting to mount a set of Troy 45 degree offset sights, I found it impossible to slide it over the rails of either upper or the associated railed hand guards on the uppers.
I initially thought I received a defective pair of sights but they worked on several other uppers I have with Brass Aluminum, Cerro Forge and Anchor Harvey markings (from several other manufacturers).
It almost appears as though their may be some excessive anodization on the PSA components and/or the sights.
Can anyone recommend a remedy? I though of perhaps using some 3000 grit wet sand paper to polish the inside of the sight rails (hopefully without compromising the fit for use on other weapons). I'd hate to do it to the upper's rail and mar the finish.
I'm open to suggestions.
Thanks
