I wonder why they made that decision? It does seem an odd thing to do. The two sides of the house the engineers and the bean counters must not have been talking initially.

Dang. I'm going to hold out for the 5" version since I specifically bought a short suppressor just for it.

Hrm...
That's interesting news that I find to be very welcoming. I originally wanted a classic mp5, not that truncated reverse stretch lunacy. :) Here's to hoping that the latest info is actually based on reality. |

View Quote This information came from our head engineer. They are currently working on the project and as of this post have to decided to go with the 9" barrel for the first production model. I was told that the 9" and 6" will come out at about the same time, but the 9" will come out shortly before the 6" version. Thank you, Josiah |

The challenge isn't in building a working MP5. They did that already, and showed them off at SHOT. The hard part is putting together a production line and tooling to build them quickly and cheaply enough to be competitive with HK, PTR, etc. Attached File |

@PalmettoStateArmory
Despite the banter from some folks here...there are a lot of us who are looking forward to seeing both the 9" and the 6" models released. Personally, I'd love to see the 9" in my collection. Thanks |

But finding out that there is a "normal" version coming out, and possibly around or before the reverse stretch, I'm actually quite happy with this. |

Nobody can please you people here....
The company is providing you a "MP5" format gun. Just f**king be happy with it or go spend ~2500+ on the other models out there. But again I ask, is there going to be a list to get on in order to fairly obtain one? |

I hated waiting for the m4a1 carbine lower release to pop up on their site, and the subsequent race to try and purchase just one. I mean granted the next day they updated inventory and I obtained another, but I doubt the mp5 inventory will be as large as a simple lower. |

@PalmettoStateArmory I know it's been asked many times and many ways, but what's the current ETA looking like? Late Summer? Early or late Fall? Winter?

Releasing the 9” model first probably means they’re having problems with the reverse stretch.

I havnt seen if it has been asked so forgive me, but any chance at offering an SD integrally suppressed variant, or a model where the barrel is factory vented and could be sent off to be completed by a third party?

I hope it gets delayed till the end of this year.
I need to pay of my "GUN Credit Card". I bought a DA Wolfman and all the muzzle devices i needed, while I wait 6-12 months. Also i hope my DA 3 Lug adapter will fit it. |

From the shot show stuff it seemed like Leadstar was running the PSA5 project. The optimistic in me wants to think that delays with PSA's other projects might not impact the PSA5. Skeptical whenever anyone says Q4 for anything though. Already bought a PTR, but for the right price a K model might be calling my name.
