That was a very interesting turn of events. To be completely open about it, I was tarded and jumped to conclusions this morning. Had TBS slide into my DMs.... I sat down and wrote an apology to Jamin and the OP of that thread. I admit I was in the wrong. I own that. I do not think I deserve the first or one of the first private AK556's though, and am still in disbelief of Jamin's gesture and kindness. PSA is awesome. |

Will this be available with wood furniture? Or interchangeable with other ask furniture?

Quoted: Will this be available with wood furniture? Or interchangeable with other ask furniture? View Quote I would assume the two rock and lock versions are interchangeable with all AKM furniture. However, the AR magwell version appears to have a bulged front trunnion, which has me wondering the same question. Also, why the bulged trunnion on the AR mag version, what was the reasoning behind that? |

View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted: < snip > why the bulged trunnion on the AR mag version, what was the reasoning behind that? It's an RPK pattern receiver for added strength, due to more material having to be removed from the receiver to accommodate the AR magazine adaptor. Quoted: Higher pressure of the cartridge per one of the YT videos I watched. That would make sense, as 5.56 has a chamber pressure of around 62,000 PSI, with 5.45 coming in around 54,500 PSI |

From the information I have, if things (not just this rifle) are a little slow to come out. We should be OK with that. I won't go any further into it.

Update from the JAKL thread:
Quoted: The 5.56 AK that takes AR mags is in production. The barrels come back from the coaters Wednesday and we will start assembling the next day. View Quote @Jman_JJE Any info on initial configurations that will be offered? Side folders? Front sight/gas block combos? Chf? |

View Quote The initial offering will be the model listed on the web site right now. It has the AK-E combo block. The CHF barrel version is a good ways out but coming. There will be a pistol with side folding brace, side folding rifles will take some time as we have to rework the folding mechanism due to the bulged trunion. |

What about the easy stuff like different colors, railed handguards, alg triggers? Will those be up soon? I initially was going to hold out for a folder, but if it’s got to be redesigned, probably not. |

View Quote I know it might be a bit mundane but I'd be interested to see a pic of the internals of the magwell. Maybe like a pick from a birds eye view. Empty mag in. BCG removed so we can see how the LRHO works and stuff like that. |

BCG removed so we can see how the LRHO works and stuff like that. View Quote Sure. Attached File Attached File Attached File Attached File Now here is my only very small observation. The safety lever is so loose, and had so little tension that it would go right past the fire detent and down onto the magwell. The scratches seen are from the PSA employee who built and tested the rifle. Small observation. Easily corrected. Attached File All in all the rifle is well built. The safety lever issue which is not really an issue is easily resolved. The PSA family knocked it out of the park. After the a few mags last night, the rifle ran as good as any high end AK I have owned. |

You said after a few mags? Did you have issues with the gun? FTF or FTE?

Ya that looks really solidly made. I like how the LRHO is sort of a good chunk of steel that runs all the way across the receiver and moves up in a linear motion instead of pinned on 1 side and pivots up.
The flapper or button option is cool too, I like how they give you an option. |

@Jman_JJE
Do you know if you'll sell stripped versions with no furniture similar to the ak47s you sell now? I live in CT and in order to have post ban firearms we need to build them into "others" aka take a receiver (non pistol or rifle) and use a brace and VFG, over 26" in length |
