Negative, you go back to your room and don't come out until you've produced an mp5 clone proper!

Given the announcement today about the future lack of Russian ammo, any chance of this getting bumped up production wise? A 5.56 AK would be a great thing to focus on. Also, I want one with the deep red wood so bad.

Out of curiosity, I forgot after so long, but the 556 AKs, will they be using a modified receiver to allow AR mags, or using those 556/223 mags like whats used on the Zastava M90?

View Quote From what I remember them showing at SHOT show and in some other videos, the 556AK will be able to use STANAG mags. That is one of the reasons I am wanting a 556 AK. |

Quoted: Or PSA could make both versions....... View Quote Well, I dont have any machining experience, so I could be dead fucking wrong... But if the AK-556 is going to be designed to use AR mags (which means it has to use an AR style magwell), and 556 AKs and conversions exist already, I would figure that the work needed to make a 556 AK that uses the M90 style mags would probably be easier than the amount of work needed to make a AK that takes AR mags. So, theoretically, if they can make a 556 AK that takes AR mags, it should be comparatively simple to make a 556 AK that would take the M90 style mags. Of Course, I dont know what all the internal difference between a 556 AK and a normal AK, so I could be completely wrong. But still, if PSA wanted to start producing 556 AKs in that style, I think they would basically be able to without any real effort needed, once they are able to make the PSA AK-556. |

View Quote There are conversation kits for 556 ak rifles to accept AR mags and another company has in the past produced AK pistols with factory AR magwells. Without knowing if they are making the AR magwell integrated into the steel of the receiver or a separate part it's hard to say what it would look like. |

View Quote I think the issue is that an M90 mag AK would be another SKU to track and stock, another individual weapon to do customer service on, and most importantly it would take valuable machining time away from their various other successful products that essentially print money. It would look way cooler though, I’ll give you that! |

They are already tooled up to produce 74s, so from a manufacturing standpoint you'd figure it would be easier to add an AK-101 to the Klone line and have it run WBP or Circle 10 mags as opposed to what looked like an M90NP variant they showed off a couple of years ago.

Quoted: The 5.56 AK is my baby. In fact, all of the AK lines are a passion for me. With all of the different variants etc it is by far the most interesting weapons platform ever developed. In regards to the 5.56AK specifically, we were supposed to finish up the final testing this week, but had some parts get delayed at the hear treater. We should have them Monday and then the final torture testing begins. It will take about two weeks to do the final testing and if all goes well it will be in production. Hopefully that helps. I really hope they make rock n lock mag version. I don't want a AR mag version, and i want to have the 12.5 AK-102 version as well. Hopefully they make it available as a builders kit as well. I don't want all the extra useless furniture.

The CHF, double chrome lined barrels by FN are so renowned that, indeed, they deserve the moniker "The FN barrel" because nothing else is like them. The complete, implied question, for those who cant read between the lines, is: "Will PSA contract with FN to provide CHF, chrome lined barrels for the AK556, possibly as some sort of 'Premium' version, in the future?" but i assumed PSA could put 2+2 together.

View Quote The M90 or Arsenal "Circle 10" style mags would have been a more logical choice in my mind. Retains the AK74 aesthetics and manual of arms, and a domestically produced PSA magazine would help support and grow the 5.56 AK ecosystem. STANAG magazines in a AK feels wrong, but that's just my opinion. |
