Guys,
We are going to miss sending out about 13% of our BF orders. I expect most of them will be sent out in the next two weeks, all of them by the end of February. I apologize that we did not send out all orders in 8 weeks. The response to BF was overwhelming and when stock ran out in literary hours after the sale started we figured we could complete stuff that was partially finished to give everybody a chance at a killer deal. Unfortunately, we were not able to complete everything due to multiple issues that had to do with anodizing of colors, miscalculation of what was actually on hand, our UV borescope breaking so we couldn’t complete Magnetic Particle inspection on proofed barrels and other things. I will say that complaints about our Customer Service are not warranted. I have great teammates who have worked nights and weekends to try and handle the deluge of emails and phone calls. It was just impossible for them to keep up. I am proud of them. For future sales we will have our website configured to take back orders that will only charge when the item ships. If you have an order in with us and want to cancel it please let us know and we will happily do so. For those customers that are willing to bear with us a little longer all orders that go out starting Monday will have a 35% off coupon included with your gear or rifle. BG |

A few questions: 1) When you're able - could we please have a better glimpse at what ADK looks like under decent lighting? At times during the livestream it looked dark brown, and *greenish* other times...definitely not the "Tiger Tank" color you originally described it as. Not really knowing *precisely* what color the rifle is/will be has added a little bit more tension to a somewhat 'sight unseen' purchase. 2) I know there are going to be some people who'll go hermitile over the thought of a 35% off coupon being their compensation when many of them have huffed and puffed about ~never again, grrr~ and whatnot, but A) will it have an expiration date, and B) would we be able to give it to a friend if we aren't in the market for anything else? #3 was going to be asking to weigh the rifle in its 'just out of the box' condition, but one of the recipients of a DRC already did that in the General thread. More precise measurements would, of course, be appreciated. |

I will say that I now hope That my last order will include a 35% off coupon. I missed out ordering a few things and I will be definitely taking advantage of that coupon. That for me was worth the wait along with getting the stuff I ordered.

End of February or even 2 weeks really sucks but I can wait it out I guess. These things better not be junk though I'm a little worried but I'll stick it out. Didn't expect them to hook everyone up with free stuff so as long as there are no stipulations I would take the coupon.
No one at Geissele was rude at all maybe overwhelmed but I can't complain about anybody personally. I definitely have a few gripes that pissed me off but it was just my personal way I looked at some things. Edit-Thanks for the deal and explaining things better I look forward to getting it. |

This still doesn't add up. My orders were within the first few hours of the sale and neither shipped until one finally went out yesterday. It was also stated in the live stream that was well before the sale started that "inventory would be added throughout the weekend" which was obviously already planned to sell more than you physically had since that available inventory was apparently already up when the sale went live (or was everything actually in stock since I didn't get mine?). Now you're saying that was done after the fact to give everyone a chance. There's a well documented timeline that proves you're still being dishonest about this. What about the fact that zero SD rifles seem have been received and there was finally just posts on your IG about a week ago where they were finally being assembled. I know those were "in stock" on the website when the sale went live and you obviously had none of those ready to go. I've been a long time customer, but after this I don't see myself buying any more of your products. You could have done this backorder sale as you did and as you intended to do from the very start and gone about it a little differently and had a much more positive outcome. Being dishonest to customers is bad business though. |

Appreciate the update. Just my $.02, it should have been earlier. Especially when people got really butthurt that the website appears to say BF orders are secondary to orders placed currently. As for the website, please discuss with your host about upping the bandwidth also. Looking forward to eventually getting my order.

How much the delay is caused by Geissele treating BF orders as secondary?
And could you explain how secondary are BF orders?besides putting us back in the queue and prioritize full price orders, are we going to get blemish product? There is a BF lower posted on another thread is obviously a blem. If we use the coupon to make order, will we be treated as secondary customer again? |

Thanks for the update, Bill. Communication goes a long way. Bad news delivered as early as possible is better than bad news delivered late. I think for the most part people have been OK with being late. What they don't like it extended silence with no updates and finding out their orders are secondary to newer, higher paying customers while you already have their money in hand. Sounds like you guys have learned from this experience and will make adjustments to improve.

Not at all a problem to wait for my orders to ship. This is a stand-up company that makes industry-leading products. I am very appreciative of the BF sale prices. I will buy more when I receive the 35% off coupon and again wait patiently for shipping. It's well worth it.

Out of all the money I spent, what have I received thus far? A coffee cup that I didn't want or order. Yes I understand today is 8 weeks. Now you want another "4" weeks but we all know it will be another 8. He extended the sale to let arfcom members that missed out get in... and then donated the proceeds to a rescue team that needed gear. |

I don’t agree with the sitting in darkness with no word meanwhile you and the team party it up in Vegas. So I think it is warranted... the complaining to customer service. Sugar coat it all you want, you sold Uncompleted products as completed in stock products. You guys have got to figured out a better way to do next Black Friday sale IF there will be one. A lot of folks were rubbed the wrong way by the social media posts by the way. If the social media posts didn’t happen I wouldn’t be upset at all.
How will QC be? With the rushed production I am wondering if quality will be lacking. Have these machines that needed repair been inspected and given the ok or is everything being half assed? |

All these complaints about Bill and his family and employees enjoying themselves are BS. It started with their Christmas party, God forbid that employees don't get rewarded for another year of hard work. They probably worked their asses off between Thanksgiving and Christmas, they deserve a break. What would you say if your employer told you that you weren't allowed to be seen enjoying yourself and had to work through the holidays. And then SHOT show comes up, it's not like their entire staff is in Vegas and just partying. The company probably made a significant investment in appearing at SHOT before any of the BF sale issues and they're not going to just NOT go. They're a business and attending SHOT show is beneficial to their business, especially with their new lines of products (whether we like getting emails about those products or not).
I clicked an agreement to 8 weeks when I ordered my URG-I upper. With the price they sold it at, I couldn't be upset about 8 weeks. We're not in the dark, we've been given updates periodically even before the 8 weeks was up and now we've been notified that some orders will exceed the 8 weeks so here's a massive freebie to help offset additional wait times OR you can cancel your order. It sucks to wait this long but this isn't a company that stole our money or committed crimes or any wrongdoing. How you THINK a company should operate is irrelevant unless you're going to go start up your own business. Geissele is a good company. |
