Nice head banging there!
I moved the Prime to the .260 bolt gun. It shoots in the tOBR, but I get pressure signs. Not as bad as that primer and swipe, but it is loaded a bit to hot for my tOBR's liking. |

Agree . . . Got a few cases of those in the safe. This winter I need to work some hand loads since I already have everything needed . . .other than labor and time.
Maybe I'll save the remaining Prime for when Mark finally releases that bolt gun. In the mean time, I've got my eye on a Proof TAC II in 338LM. Just need to find and join a range that at least goes out to 500 before 'pulling the trigger'. |

Does that sound right? Do I need to invest in a Labradar and get rid of my old green Chrony? Or shoot my barrel more to build some speed. I’ve admittedly only put about 100 rounds through this one. |

Quantico is having a wind reading seminar and 600y "match" tomorrow. I'm going to pack up the bolt gun and see how this match progresses. Supposedly it's two sighters and three 10rd strings, rinse and repeat. We'll be doing relays and working the pits so it will be a great learning experience for this old dog. I'd bring the tOBR, but I'm putting the other NF ATACR on it and removing the S&B, so timing wasn't right. I'll have the bolt gun as a baseline and if they fire this match next month, I'll take the tOBR and see how it stacks up. I know, we can spit 600 yards, but that's the agenda.

I know I asked a similar question but I can’t find it in here...
I’m going to put a magpul prs gen 3 stock on. I know I’ll need a rifle length tube, got it. I also know larue sells a kit with the spacer to be used with the factory red spring/h2 buffer in said rifle tube. BUT, can I use a regular rifle length spring and rifle buffer? Per the internet the H2 is 4.7 oz and the rifle buffer is 5 oz so performance should be similar I would think but I don’t know a whole lot about the springs. |

Looks like Saturday's course of fire is 600y and maybe 800 if we have time. I plan on bringing out the tOBR only and fine tuning my dope for the H130s shooting paper.

Took the 260 out today mostly to let others try it. They all seemed to love it and the glass.
Only 200 yards though. 4" steel plates was boringly easy. |

One comment was "wow it's a gentle push".
I tried a .243 bolt action and was expecting less recoil for some reason. |

It seems to shoot the H130s so well, I may just keep shooting them and if I do reload, it will simply be at the BTO of 2.1830 I know this rifle prefers. |
