Magpul does need to iron out their priorities, and didn't properly capitalize on the times. They over innovated during the Obama Era...and are now behind the curve for the Trump era. "Trump Slump" is the time to be innovative to stand out and cultivate interest in the brand
Maybe they should get things squared away in 2018 while doing the .mil contracts, then come back strong in 2019 or 2020.
Magpul needs to expand infrastructure, the Wyoming Facility isn't sufficient on it's own to meet the various demands and commitments. Having another manufacturing facility, Magpul would be able to fulfill Military/LEO contracts AND be on schedule with the civilian projects and commitments.
Simply put the US civilian market is bigger than the DoD (300 million Arms in civilian possession), the weight of consumer base is comparable to the DoD's National Security priority. The latter obviously can't be sacrificed for the former, but continuing to put the civilian market on the back burner...Strike and MFT are on the rise and Magpul is losing market relevance.
