Can anyone here lend any input after actually shooting through one of these? My excitement got the best of me and I ordered the 6-24 in mrad before I actually checked many of the reviews(which are still pretty sparse). My assumption that it will be GTG is based off of my past experiences with Vortex which have all exceeded expectations. I guess if nobody else chimes in I will be the guinea pig.

You can take this for what it's worth, considering its from the manufacturer itself - but trust me, we're not here to mislead anyone. Anyways, Jimmy and I shot the 4-16x44 configuration of this scope at the Vortex Extreme in early August. If you're unfamiliar with the event, it's a long range competition that really replicates a hunting situation. We hiked 9.3 miles and lugged our guns in packs between stages. Shots ranged from an 80-yard off-hand shot to 1,250 yards - tons of cross canyon shooting, too. As you can imagine, this meant we needed to dial the heck out of the turrets throughout the day. We had no problems at all dialing out to those longer distances - the clicks were crisp, clean and intuitive.
Our start time was at 6:15 a.m., so light was fairly low. On our first stage we were shooting out to 900 yards and had no problems acquiring our target through the optic in the low-light situation. Moving later into the day, we were able to see mirage clearly, which also hopefully speaks to the optical quality of this scope.
At the end of the day, you're getting a relatively affordable riflescope that's a serious long-range contender. Hopefully this helps a bit, but let us know if you have any specific questions. We got very familiar with this scope by the end of the event, so hopefully some of this insight answers some questions and sparks some new ones! - Erik (
