Was just reading about how a muzzle device can change the harmonics and characteristics of a barrel, and thus the accuracy. I have a 16" Gunner in my Aero Precision build with a LaRue MBT trigger and an A2 style flash hider. Even with 69 and 77 grain OTBT ammo from Privi and Australian Outback, the best I'm getting is 3-4" groups at 100 yards. I'm using a bench rest and it's a free floating handguard (Aero M4E1 advanced). Groups with Wolf Gold and American Eagle open up to about 4-5". I'll be the first to admit it could very well be the shooter, but really thought I would be doing better with this set up. Would a different muzzle device have a positive effect on characteristics and accuracy, and if so, what style makes the most sense?
