Also since posting this I noticed in the PA catalog they are also going to offer their rotary dial one that I mentioned above with the ACSS reticle. So that makes 3 ACSS red dots all together the current Holosun model, the rotary one that's been out the past year, and then the newer style one with the bigger 25mm tube.
I plan to try out the 25mm tube one soon after it gets released. The rotary one will be tougher then the Holosun model but it may not give you quite as nice of a sight picture since the knobs and design of the body don't allow quite the same level of clarity since your eye has more material to look around, and the glare on the sight can be a little annoying but most of the time isn't noticeable. The new 25mm model will likely be as tough or even moreso then the rotary one introduced last year and the 25mm tube may make up for the high setting caps on top as far as vision goes. I'd like to try one with the standard dot and with the ACSS dot.
I really don't think you can go wrong with any of them, especially if bought from PA. They all have their pluses and minuses but all are great dots especially for the money. I'd still love to see the ACSS in the 510c like you mentioned and also in a higher quality dot like the MRO or Aimpoint for a duty rifle. Then again the chances of ever having an issue with a PA dot is very slim and if it does happen you should always have back up sights on a duty rifle to start with.
