Maybe they will announce the MBUS 4 before the MBUS 3 starts rolling out, and skip 3 all together.

I was hopeing for a black Friday release.

Maybe everything they make is actually made in china. The container ship holding all the fresh new polymer goodness is last in line from Shanghai.

According to their instagram page the PRS LITE stocks are in. No word on the other things people are waiting on.

I used to love magpul, still like them, just not as much recently. I was so excited when they showed the glock drum mag at shot show 2020 and said they would have them released by that summer. I understood the delay at the time with Covid and all, but now it has been almost 2 years and all I see is new swag crap and no glock drum mag and no mbus gen 3s. It seems like they are going the standard corporate route, build up a name for yourself with good quality at a good price, then use that earned reputation to over-promise and under-deliver. I hope I'm wrong about that, but seen it happen to many times to think otherwise atm.

they are a joke and not to be trusted. All their own doing. But they have a great selection of T shirts.

[#12]
Man you guys are hard to please. Magpul has always was really bad at providing estimates during normal times so I'm not exactly surprised they are still bad at it now that the supply chain is completely hosed. I remember when they used to not give etimates at all just to avoid this kind of whining.
I'm not saying it's entirey excusable but I'm also not going to hold a grudge over it. |

[#13]
I’d rather have them take longer to release a product right the first time. Too many companies rush things to market that are incomplete or haven’t been tested thoroughly. Colt did this with the Python. When magpul releases them hopefully they’ll be nice right out of the box.

At this point I wonder if I can get a pair of MBUS Pros cerakoted in OD green. lol
Actually, I’m surprised Magpul doesn’t offer this. That’s one heck of a short putt for them if you ask me. |
|
|
[#18]
I’m afraid they might be waiting to release them until after they’ve confirmed I gave up waiting and bought something else. If I really liked any of you folks I’d take one for the team and buy some other brand. Guaranteed next day, they’d drop.

My main issue is the lack of communication. We can all understand things take time and “stuff” happens. Did they have trouble sourcing bulk polymer pellets? Did they have to go through a couple injection mold iterations? Are they stacking a warehouse to the ceiling before release to ensure enough product can hit the shelves to meet demand? I really don’t like being left in the dark. All of our dollars have brought them to where they are. A little honesty can go a long way. I’ve learned from some great bosses over the years that it won’t upset them if I give them a heads up about missing a deadline or whatever. What irritates them is when I pretend nothing is going wrong until I can’t anymore.
I don’t need a firm street date. But having periodic updates on development and production would go a long way. And they have a sufficient social media presence to make those periodic updates. |

Just rec'd an email advertising...you guessed it...the present "Gen 2" MBUS sights.
Hope springs eternal. |

I just want hooded fronts. I’m sure they’re busy making clothes hangers or purses or some other unwanted lifestyle shit though.

View Quote Posts / e-mails in short supply during these hard times? It's one thing to completely miss a release timeline. It's another to not communicate to customers who've already placed orders based on your wayyyy overly optimistic release date. Magpul is better than this. |

[#23]
Unless I'm mistaken I did not hear a peep about MBUS3's in all the SHOT Show announcements.
C'mon, man! |

I didn't see a peep about them either. Magpul is now close to 9 months late releasing them. Unacceptable.

When/if they ever come out they might not 100% resemble the sights that they've been teasing this whole time. |

That means they went thru all the design steps, including perhaps a small scale production run. Seems late in the development process to find a significant problem. |

Haven’t seen a single word mentioned in all the shot show coverage about the MBUS 3’s. It’s like they’re pretending they don’t exist. Even as they have sets installed on all their rifles in their booth.

Looks like the K2 XL grips just dropped so maybe we are getting close to the MBUS 3’s? Or am I naive for thinking they will be available in my lifetime?

I really want these to show up. I don’t like not having irons on a gun with a dot and I rather not spend the money on Troy sights since this was a spare parts gun.

Why offer "pro" features on a set of polymer sights when you can make more profit selling the MBUS Pros?

But then again, they never discontinued the Gen 2 PMAGs because the Gen 3 PMAGs came out. |

Some people, and probably departments, still subscribe to the antiquated idea that metal > polymer. Also, some people just like metal. I have a pair of Pros on one of my rifles and love them, but eagerly awaiting the MBUS 3 for the rest of my rifles.

View Quote People love to hate on plastic (and MIM) in the gun community but materials science has come a long way. Selection of what material to use needs to be chosen based on strength, weight, corroson resistance, maleability, elastiticity etc and there are some applications in the gun world where plastic is actually the better option. |

My thought is the opposite... They want to unload their MBUS 2 inventory at current prices before they release MBUS 3. Once MBUS 3 is out, selling price of the old version will be slashed... |
