Hey Y’all,
Been lurking around here for many years but never joined up as I never thought I had anything to say worth talking about.
I bought a new Colt M4 last week and got it today.
I was surprised (actually a little disappointed) when I looked at it and the receiver is marked with the pony, and “CARBINE” 5.56 MM, then the serial number CR- - - - - -.
Not “M4 CARBINE” just “CARBINE”. Not even “Colt”.
I also noticed the front sling attachment is under the front sight instead of on the side like my older LE6920.
The box says M4 Carbine.
I know this has no real issue with the function of the rifle, but it irritates me a little.. sort of misrepresentation.
Have you ever seen this?
Could it be a misprint?
I have pics below, but since this is my first post I guess the mods have to approve them.
Any help is appreciated.
