I have own my Predatobr 762 for about 1year. Love the freaking thing. Double taps at 1000yrds are boringly easy. Got my Silencerco saker 762asr out of NFA jail finally. N there trouble reared it's ugly head. First outing I was shooting my Predatobr's favorite ammo Hornady 178gr match #8077. Shooting it suppressed with this ammo, spent brass was getting caught in the way of the following rd trying to load in the chamber. Happened for every rd out of two twenty rd mags. By the end of the second mag the bolt slammed so hard into the bolt stop/catch it cracked it. Rifle was switched to the suppressed setting for all suppressed shots.
Called Larue up following day. Super cool peeps, shipped me a replacement part out double time n let me bend the ear of the Jedi master Rifle Tech. Followed recommendations to install Springco Orange spring n heavier buffer weight from h2 to h3.
After a weeks finally got out to the range again. Again same issues. Spent brass catch by the following rd trying to load.
Brought several types of ammo with me this time.
Federal xm80 147gr fmj
winchester 149gr fmj
Federal 150gr sp
Federal 168gr gmm
Federal 175gr gmm
Hornady 178gr match #8077
Also brought original H2 buffer along with H3 buffer with me.
Accuracy was never issue with n without suppressor .
Results with H2 buffer n Springco Orange Spring
Spent brass was getting by the following rd into chamber no matter the bullet grain weight with the suppressor on / rifle suppressor setting on.
Unsuppressed/ Rifle set to unsuppressed
Federal 147gr n Winchester 149gr functioned about 80%
One rd out of twenty with Federal 147gr got catch by the next one rd trying to load into chamber
Twice with again this happened with Winchester 149gr
All heavier grain loads would cause fore mentioned fault (rifle suppressed/ rifle setting on suppressed) n (rifle unsuppressed/rifle setting unsuppressed)
Switched out the H2 buffer for the H3 n the Springco Results were better.
Federal 147gr Fmj n Winchester 149gr Fmj cycled mostly ok one or two would again be catch up by following rd trying to load in the chamber running the rifle suppressed gas system set to suppressed
All heavier grain loads would cause fore mentioned fault (rifle suppressed/ rifle setting on suppressed) n (rifle unsuppressed/rifle setting unsuppressed)
Is is there a fix? Has anyone else had a similar issues? Is it only with Silencerco products n this rifle that this happens?
Other details worth mentioning
Never shoot reloads with my Predatobr
All brass collected was dirty with carbon
Only mags used for testing wear Larue mags
When it did somewhat function unsuppressed/ has setting unsuppressed brass was ejected at the 3oclock position
Only Factory brass ammo was used
Buffer extension is Factory Larue Rat stock n buffer tube
Original buffer weight was H2 Original spring was Larue red
Rifle is the Predatobr 762 18" Barrel with the collapsing stock
