Guys,
An update on our KS47. To make the KS47 more price competitive, we changed the upper and lower receiver from billet to forged. They will be available again in 60-90 days. We will have a new pistol version and other variants coming out in the near future. Thank you, Josiah |

Two questions. Im not really clear on the difference between billet and forge in terms of quality. And will the upper be sold stripped or at least without a barrel?
|
|
Any word if the new uppers will have a ledge or something to prevent magazine over-insertion? I took a buddy out today to shoot some guns and he absolutely loved the KS-47 and wants to build one. But he's not equipped with a drill press and tap and everything to run a screw through the side of the upper himself. It'd be sweet the new upper receivers were ready to rock without him having to fiddle with that aspect of it.
|
|
Will they be cross compatible with the previous generation if someone were wanting to just add a 2nd upper to their current BILLET KS47 they could use a new stripped FORGED upper and build the wanted configuration?

@giantpune
We are redoing the geometry on the upper. @htex1004 The two generations are compatible. Thank you, Josiah |

Did you post this on Insta? Why did you use a Aero standard upper and not the M4E1 upper has a billet look/style to it? Definitely keep us posted on the Sub load/ammo because I was thinking of using a 180gr bullet .310/.311 for sub load. |

|
A couple shot shows ago, DDI was showing off their version of the KS-47 with a side charging upper. It never materialized. Sure would be nice if PSA would make that thing a reality for us.

Will this one be able to take any standard AR upper, or are they only compatible with your upper?

I've got 2 uppers for my KS SBR and it really is a good gun other than the bcg snagging on the feed lips.
|
|
On my polymer mags I was able to Dremel the feed lips a bit to fix the mag issues. Runs great ever since I did that.
|
|
I was out shooting my 10.5" "pistol" KS47 this weekend. Mine seems to run on most mags, except some specific steel 20 round mags
It Runs great on Magpul, Tapco, Russian bakelie, Chinese Steel all A-OK. I think this looks best with the Magpul mags in it. I am very pleased with it overall. |
|
@Et2ss The KS47 will not work with a standard AR upper.
@Naporter A 7.62x39 AR upper with hybrid BCG will not work on a KS47 lower. Thank you, Josiah |
|
Highly interested in the KS-47, but I am curious... is it just a standard 7.62x39mm bolt, or, is it redesigned and beefed up similar to an AR-10 bolt and competing rifles?

Is it impossible to engineer a lower that takes standard AK mags, but will still take a standard upper?
I would be down for one but don't want to mess with a rifle that has major proprietary, parts that can't be easily substituted from my parts bin in a pinch. |

For the love of everything Holy...
the love of everything dirty... for the last shred of patience and sanity I have left for the longest build attempt I've ever experienced... PLEASE let me buy or tell me where I can steal a frigging KS47 Hybrid BCG!!! Please I would like to have this thing running before my third child is born. Signed, A single guy without a girlfriend who has no children at all yet |

I get that setbacks happen and production delays can occur. But what is your current projected "to market" timeframe/goal? Will we see uppers and parts by the end of this quarter or sometime in 4th quarter of this year?
I only ask because I'm on the cusp of taking my business elsewhere but would prefer to give it to PSA given my previous history with you. |

Does this mean I could scavenge the bolt and barrel off an AR15 5.45 upper and build a KS74? View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes |

I plan to try 9x39 once AR barrels become available at more reasonable prices. Should be able to use same bolt and mags as 7.62x39.

View Quote While we're harping on them for it, @PalmettoStateArmory, any chance we could get some bolts for other calibers with the smaller lower lugs? I was thinking about your new 6.5 grendel 12" upper. But I didn't want to have to pull out a file and hack away at the bolt. |

Will the KS47 use a standard bolt carrier or is it proprietary?

PSA, I am trying to sign up for in stock notifications and I can't seem to get to subscribe. My upper will not fit my lower and I am going to purchase a new one hoping for the best. I go to click submit after putting my email and info in and nothing will happen
