My patrol rifle is a G SDLE. It came with 13.5 inch MK16 rail (black/grey) with a thin blue line stripe.

The barrel is a 16 inch G CHF 1/7 mid length in .gov profile with the G gas block done in bombproof installation.  

The BCG is a straight up G milspec.

I added the G charging handle, A22 grip, and trigger. It’s topped by an Aimpoint CompML2 in a Larue mount and a set of Kriss Defiance BUIS.

So, my question. Were these SDLE rifles essentially M4 lowers with a URGI upper?  Obviously the color of the rail is wrong, and the BCG is milspec.

It shoots better than I am capable of. Quite literally, my groups are smaller than the size of the red dot.

I will NEVER get rid of this rifle.

URGI uses a 14.5 barrel with Surefire four prong FH.

Does your upper have the groove that integrates with the handguard?

You got lucky if it’s super accurate, the G LE rifles I’ve shot aren’t very accurate with anything other than heavy match bullets.

It’s a straight up M4 style upper receiver. No groove. Basically, it seems to be an URGI with a 16 inch barrel and A2 flash suppressor and different color rail.

Yes, it is very accurate. I don’t know anyone else who has one of these LE guns.  Like I said, the barrel is CHF and shoots very well. Even with crappy WOLF and M193. It’s the most accurate AR I have ever owned, out of a sample size of over a dozen.

Are you sure it’s CHF?

What does "accurate" mean?

My patrol rifle is a Bushmaster XM15 16 inch gun.

I shot a 3 inch 5 shot group with 55 grain speer gold dot at 200 yards prone with an Aimpoint comp m5.  Is that accurate?  I have no clue. I've never repeated it and i've never actually put glass on the gun to see what its repeatably capable of.

If the rifle is accurate enough for you or your institutions standards and its reliable, it should be good enough regardless of what its model designation is.

Your rifle is not a URGI as per the military contract.
