Howdy everyone. This is my first post on this forum and I hope I'm putting it in the right place. Moderators, if I'm not, I apologize and please let me know where I should post it. As you read this introduction, you might be confused at first but please bear with me as it will, I hope, come together and make sense once I start the thread proper. While this is my first thread here, it's actually the collection of a large number of ongoing posts I've been working on at various other forums for a little while now. I've used many resources both on and offline while writing it and this site is one that I have referred to repeatedly when gathering information. I feel I should share this information I've gathered with you guys partly because you've helped me without even knowing you did it and partly because, seeing that this site is specifically dedicated to the AR-15, you guys might actually want to see it more than anywhere else I've posted it. As you'll quickly see while reading it, I'm FAR from an expert on the subject matter. I'll tell you right up front, almost every one of you guys has probably forgotten more than I'll ever know about these rifles. But one thing I do know is that I'm providing a condensed block of decent information that you will most likely (I hope) find useful and, perhaps most importantly of all, fun! One last thing...…. Please don't be offended by the first three lines of the post that follows. I'm a diehard roller delayed guy. Please forgive me.
One last, last thing...….If you folks like this thread, please let me know because, as I mentioned earlier, it's an ongoing project of mine. If you don't like it, let me know that too and I'll pick up my tinker toys and go elsewhere never to bother you good folks again. Alrighty, we begin at the beginning in the next post. Sorry I made you read all that. It'll be more fun starting just below; I promise. |

Are my pictures showing up?? I think I'm posting them properly but all I'm seeing are the links.
EDIT. Now I'm seeing the picture in the first post where I wasn't before? I'm such a newb. |

Great posts! Classic colts are great, and you are right there i just something about the look and feel.
Pictures are showing up, they will show permanently when enough members approve them. Give it a couple of hours. |

Beautiful.
Yes, your pics show. It’s just that you don’t have many posts. Prevents spamming. How about some 11.5” 6933 goodness? |
|
Thanks guys. I see they're starting to show up now.
goloud, I have some "goodness" coming up I think you'll like. |
|
Pics are great. Welcome to the forum. You'd likely have a genuine herd of them if you "loved" the AR.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand that's my last post for tonight. I have a bunch more before I'm caught up to where I actually am (if that makes sense) but I can only quickfire so many at a time. I've probably already posted so many as to cause information overload. I guess that once I'm on here for a bit my posts won't be limited to 2000 characters. When that happens, things will look a little less chopped up. Anywho, thank you guys for such a warm welcome!! I do very much appreciate it! I'll post some more over the rest of the weekend and I should be caught up in a couple to few days. At that time, I'll just update this thread as I am on the other forums I belong to. Thank you all again for such a kind welcome. God willing, I'll see you back here soon!

Dam dude. Don't be apologetic with that assortment of Colts.
You rock. Colt has been my fav all along. Thanks for post |

Love your write ups so far.
One thing to consider is moving those images from photobucket to imgur or some other photo hosting platform. Photobucket screwed the internet and your pictures will get blurred after enough people see them, then they will want to charge you money. Use a different photo hosting platform. |

Great chronicle. Thanks for taking the time to post all of this material!
