1. What is the difference between the HRT 556 and 5 cans in performance?
The HRT has better muzzle suppression and slightly worse ear performance on short barrels- AKA more backpressure. The Dual-Lok 5 is more like a Sig SLX - a flow through suppressor with low backpressure.I am looking to use it on a KAC 11.5" 5.56 upper and a SIG MCX 9" .300 BLK upper - which is preferred if any?
It sounds like the Dual Lok 5 and Dual Lok 7 would be good suppressors for you. If you want really epic sound performance over length and weight concerns, the Recce 7 is possibly the most quiet .300BLK suppressor on the market. 2. What muzzle devices come with each can?
Dual lok minimalist brakes, and the Recce 7 comes with the EZ brake. 3. Are Blast Shields NFA items?
No blast shields are not NFA items- they are concussion redirectors that push blast forward like a megaphone pushes a persons voice forward.
If you are buying a blast shield- those are 9mm and smaller caliber applicable, and that may weigh on the 762 suppressor decision as that accessory can be used on any dual lok muzzle device, and the Recce 7 is not dual lok compatible.4. I am looking to purchase the 7 silencer , Blast Shield and one of the above cans but can't do it over your website through my General Issue login I have...how best to place the order?
I think you should be able to buy the non nfa stuff through the website, but the suppressor would have to be purchased through a Griffin dealer. That question is a sales question which would be best handled through sales people as I'm in product development and not privy to all the sales information. Sorry about that. https://www.griffinarmament.com/contact-us/dealer-general-issue/5. Lastly, are the Gate-lok a better way to go? I am looking for the lightest, shortest with the least back pressure/face blast.
the Gate lok mount is a heavier mount, on a lighter muzzle device typically. It isn't shorter. If you want the lightest / shortest, you might be a candidate for the bayonet micro brake and the Dual lok 5 if your barrel will support that, that will allow you to mount the can over .69" of barrel rear of the thread shoulder, and will protect the blast baffle and suppressor performance from negative side effects caused by shortening the distance to the blast baffle.
