UPDATE: I decided a great idea would be to mount it to my MP5 and crank with a strap wrench (most of my other sub-guns have rocksett 3-lug adapters or buried 3-lugs).
The 3-lug mount stayed tight, but woohoo!!! The Booster Housing came loose!
I got one of the first couple hundred Revolution 9's, and I never thought that thing was going to come off, ever!
I still have no idea how I'm going to get the 3-Lug mount off of the housing, but when I do, I will finally explore the modular capabilities (many years and rounds later).
Q: Has anyone ever just notched out the original Booster Housing for a stock wrench? If you did, and sent it back to Griffin later for some reason... would they even be mad?
$145 is straight up out of the question for that mod... and if they just send you a new one, why not just do it for free?
Is it "unlawful" to have 2 booster housings, but 3 extra baffles and the extension is ok, plus unlimited mounts?
