I’m trying here because I’ve been in touch with two Giessele reps, and they’ve ghosted me both times lol... I bought one of the National Match Triggers and the j clip (or the clip that’s equivalent to the J clip for the NM hammer) is defective and does not hold the retaining pin. I fired a total of 40 rounds with the trigger and the hammer retaining pin kept working itself out. I stopped, verified what the issue is, and stuck the rifle in the safe waiting to get this sorted out with Geissele. Yes, I have the pins installed correctly and I’ve tried swapping the pins around. I can feel the j clip catch the recess in the pin, but there isn’t enough tension to hold it in place. It takes the slightest amount of pressure when pushing on the pin to dislodge it.
I originally sent in a ticket and was told to send pics. I sent pics and a video, and never heard back. I called about a week ago and spoke to someone else who was suppose to send me info on returning the trigger. I was also told that I was responsible for the shipping cost to Geissele. I find this to be pretty sh*** given that I received a defective hammer with my trigger and that this isn’t something like warranty work after I put several thousand rounds on a trigger. I get that they probably have people who think something is wrong sending in triggers that are perfectly fine, and that the shipping for those incidents would add up, but it’s pretty obvious that mine is defective and I’ve sent the proof.
I usually give companies the benefit of the doubt and refrain from complaining, but it’s been a month and I’d like to get this squared away. I’d also like not to be responsible for the shipping to Geissele if at all possible.
