You can get the straight story on the new Colt revolvers like the new Cobra, King Cobra, and new Python on the Colt forum, from people who KNOW.

Bottom line on the new Python was unexpected problems with the very first production.
This included damage to the muzzle caused by an improper machine set up that wasn't caught, and a few that had failures of the cylinder to rotate.
These have been corrected by Colt.
Most owners have little bad to say about the new models and a lot of good.
One key to buying anything that's just been introduced.... don't buy the first one's to come off the line, they may not have all the production bugs out of it.
When you manufacture thousands of ANYTHING you'll get a few that are defective.
Ask the people who had their hip replacement or pacemakers recalled for quality problems.
