I currently have a Frankengun built off of a 6920 upper and Aero Precision Gen 2 lower as well as a brand new FDE 6920 from AU's limited run.
I have the itch for one more Colt (always just one more, am I right?) and the 6960 is calling my name but I wanted to hear from some people that own them to decide if I jump in on the factory rifle or build one out.
Here's my dilemma...I currently have 4 stripped lowers, a toolcraft 1B1B6 158 BCG from WC Armory, a few extra charging handles, lower parts kits, etc. basically everything besides a receiver extension, a stock, and a grip.
Is the factory rifle worth jumping into at around $1,100? I really like all of the features of the factory rifle....but Brownell's still has the CCU upper on sale for $519.99 (plus Active Junky, maybe a coupon, etc.)
I could use a majority of what I have to build out a comparable rifle for a whole lot less. I really like the idea of a factory rifle...especially the CCU.
Any thoughts ya'll have as CCU owners are welcomed as well!
