I’m pretty positive that Colt didn’t offer these separately so it will have to be a rifle takeoff.
They were also the same upper that came on the 2017 Socom and the 2018+ socoms (also not sold as a CK upper) except it had m4 handguards instead of the rail. The EE has pretty regularly had socom take off uppers on it, some with and some without the rail on it. This will be your best bet. |

I was hoping to score a factory upper with a SOCOM barrel instead of sourcing a Colt barrel and having someone slap an upper together. Are COLT SOCOM uppers available? Never seen those availability separately. |

Quoted: How safe is Gunbroker? I have never used them. View Quote I use them A LOT. A lot of my collection has come from there. I just look at seller feedback some before placing a bid. Some sellers do what is called schill bidding where they have alternate accounts to run up item prices. If I feel that is happening, I stop bidding and report it to Gun Broker. |

I thought the HBPW barrel was the same HBAR bbl as the 6721 but in a 1/7 twist? The one that I am talking about is a not a SOCOM upper, but, rather, a 6920 upper with a SOCOM barrel, flats and all. It didnt come with a FF rail and was cheaper than the SOCOM as it was not marked as such. It was like a sleeper version of the SOCOM. |

View Quote Honestly, I don’t think you are going to find a HBPW upper any cheaper than a socom upper and selling the rail (or asking the seller to separate) You can broaden your search and look for Colt expanse uppers. They offered a “heavy barrel” model that also used the socom barrel and had a vortex(???) flash hider P/W on. These will probably be rare finding just an upper though. |

View Quote I remember wondering about that when I got it but didn’t think much of it because I had a 2012 (?) SOCOM with a 16” SOCOM bbl that didn’t have the 203 flats. I believe that the 2012 also had a Troy rail. I bought it when the Gov Props were fetching big buck and it was a relatively inexpensive way to get a SOCOM bbl and keyhole upper; Unless of course it’s ^^ not a SOCOM barrel. I’ve gotten this wrong a few times but I’m pretty sure about that 2012 16” being a SOCOM profile barrel without the cut. |

There were 2 factory P/W socom barrels on the EE recently. Looks like both might be pending but deals fall through.
