Please tell us what you want to see us offer! We've got relationships with a lot of different manufacturers, and since I'm personally a gun nerd, I'm always wanting to see new, unique configurations. I figure a lot of you are, too, so please tell us what you think would do well.
Obvious, low hanging fruit for us that have been mentioned in various mediums would be something like a 300blk BRN180/180s, and different charging handles for them. Maybe a different handguard configuration? How about a different sku in the Retro line? Phase plasma rifle in the 40 watt range? I can't say that we'll for sure make what is suggested here, but who knows, it might be a great idea that we can pursue! |

I'd love to see a GAU-5A/A.
Like an XM-177 without the forward assist. |

I'd like to see the BRN-180 expanded upon. The lowers are a good start (hopefully the forged will be available soon).
Charging handles and fore-ends for the BRN would be great, as those are both pretty simple to change out. AR180 looking stocks and pistol grip would also be awesome. Also a picattiny mount that will support the 4x carry handle scope Brownells has. |

Brownells A2 uppers and lowers.

Would love to see you bring back the DD M4A1 with the SOCOM barrel for another run. Or at least offer an upper with that barrel

An M4A1 upper with the DD 14.5 SOCOM barrel and MK12 pinned gas block would make me ridiculously happy. If stripped of BCG and FH, even better, but not necessary. With that said, a complete M4A1 like before is also welcomed. That heavy barrel is the centerpiece of my dream build/go-to rifle Love the MK18, but 14.5 suppressed is what keeps me warm at night |

Got a few other ideas, though not sure if they're feasible:
1. Gotta do it for the 12.5 lovers: a RIS II rail like the GL/SSC one. If DD wants to keep that rail exclusive, I get it. But maybe they can offer, with your collaboration, a similar version that keeps the rail one piece, has the same lock-up system and quad rails, and allows the rail to have a flush fitment with a suppressor when built with a 12.5 barrel. The M203 attachment is rather unnecessary for us civvies. A consolation-prize GL/SSC equivalent would really rock the proverbial boat! Maybe offer it as a limited upper in both FDE and black rails? 2. Curved trigger guard a la the HK416A5. I understand trigger guards are not a sexy or lucrative market, but it would be nice to get a bit more clearance in the trigger area. It's way too expensive to purchase/import the actual HK item (when HK Parts is OOS), and Brownells can improve on the design by offering a version with detents that allow tool-less installation and removal. The Magpul enhanced is nice, but a curved would be better without resorting to weird designs and Gucci cuts/facets |

Since the question was asked, how about Daewoo K1 and K2 pattern rifles? I’m starting to believe the only way we’ll ever see new production rifles is through domestic production.
Forging dies and tooling have to exist somewhere. |

I don't know if the demand is there for either in a way that would justify tooling up and bringing them to market, but worth considering. |

I think an even more retro brn180 would do well. Something with handguards similar to the original and a front sight block pinned to the barrel.
I've got one of the m16a1 clones and would probably own a brn180 if it were more like the original with iron sights. To me, the fun part of these retro rifles are the iron sights. Having a front sight mounted to an aluminum handguard that will no doubt lose zero when the handguard is taken off and reapplied doesn't sound too fun. I know you guys are working on a polymer folding stock for the brn180, a pistol grip and forend to match would be a great addition. |

A FAMAS that accepts STANAG mags might be a winner for the bull pup crowd. I’m a huge ‘Woo fan and would be all in for a domestic variant. But that’s just me. A semi-auto FAMAS recently went on Gunbroker for $30,000+. I don’t know the bidding circumstances or whether there was more than two fighting for it. Who knows whether the buyer will follow through with the sale. |

Would love to see some BRN-180 branded patches.
Velcro patches branded with "BRN-180" To stick to hats, backpacks etc. @brownells @brownells_ar15 |

Different slide designs maybe?
Windows on the side or more rounded. I like the current design but just thinking I wouldn’t mind more |

I'd like to see spare parts for the Brownells BRN-180 series of upper receiver assemblies become available ASAP. Thanks

I would love a 10.5-12.5" BRN-180s chambered in 7.62x39 designed to fit a lower that accepts AK mags.

Frankly, I'd like to see a slight change to the BRN 180 receivers to add a set screw (or Vlier screw with plunger) so that you can adjust the slop out of the upper to lower fit. Mine rattles like a rusted out chevy on a gravel road.

I'd really like to see the BRN-180 reworked with a non-reciprocating charging handle. I understand the current feature is true to the original but I believe that a large number of people would prefer a non-reciprocating handle.
The Palmetto State Armory JAKL is set to compete directly with the BRN-180 and it offers this feature. On the other hand, the JAKL has a uselessly short handguard, whereas the BRN-180 has plenty of room for accessories. If the BRN-180 could incorporate a non-reciprocating charging handle I think it would be the best product of its type on the market (incorporating recoil springs in upper receiver) and I (and many others) would definitely order one. |
|
|
I would have liked Brownells to offer a full auto capable version of the BRN-180S for use on an M16 lower to emulate the AR-18.

OK Brownells, DPMS has been gone for a while now, isn't it about time you found some new vendors for AR15 small parts, I'm tired of having to go to Midway USA because your DPMS parts have been discontinued, and your only alternative is Colt at a ridiculous price, and their generally out of stock with an ungodly back order time, and that's if they are ever going to supply it.
|
|
|
Lots of great suggestions above. But, I would like to see discontinued items removed from the site. You get excited then click to see it's not available anymore.

The return of 10% off with free shipping coupon codes. I was spending a few hundred a month at Brownells until you stopped those.

I have an ancient powder measure called a Belding And Mull. It is the only powder measure I have ever had that will reliably throw charges of stick powders like IMR4350. There is a Belding and Mull company out there, but they have so far been vaporware on bringing the powder measure back.
I would love to see Brownell's get behind a resurrection of the Belding And Mull visible powder measure. They are coveted by their owners, many of whom are precision shooters. Hell, partner with Forster to make it. Their powder measure (I have one) is basically a turkey. It works, but is sure ain't in the same ballpark as my Belding and Mull. |

How about a late model Portugese variant of the retro AR10? With the adjustable gas block and the grenade launching muzzle brake configuration.

Although already stated a few times, BRN-180 (Gen 2) expansion of parts and availability.
I know you are working on stocks, but it would be nice to have options besides generic looking braces. A real retro stock would be great as well as a more modern looking one. Chambered in 6.5 Grendel would also be nice. I'd buy one. I've got a forged lower on backorder, and I'd love to add a second to that order.... - since I can't backorder a second, can anyone there throw some pixie dust (or stripper glitter) and make my backorder show two? Never hurts to ask! Keith |

Pink Alumna-Hyde II. Preferably pink that matches Magpul pink. It’s my #1 wish right now. Dad’s of daughters will understand.
Low priced small parts to fill the void that DPMS left. It’s not a product, but I wish the mobile site was more user friendly so I could sort by ascending price and such. Want the lowest priced detent pin and don’t care about brand? You may have to look through a few pages of search results to find it. |

how bout a version of the BRN-180 in 308 for the DPMS AR-10 large frame guns. 16" barrel and 20" barrel.

You guys seriously need more color options in your Glock slides. They’re very well regarded as reliable.
You can get a Brownells Glock 34 rmr cut slide in any color you want…as long as it’s black. For example. |

I would love to see a BRN-180 chambered in 6.8 SPC II and a 7.62 X 39 version that takes AK magazines. Also a 1913 rail compatible fixed stock (I know people want a AR-18 like stock. I am talking about a magpul style fixed stock or A2 stock that attaches via a 1913 rail).
Thanks. |
