I ordered an lt204 last night, got a notification this morning that it was backordered? Can anyone tell me what this means? Is this item actually in stock?

Call this number 512-259-1585.
The person that answers will have a much better answer than any chuckleheads on the internet. But if they have it, it’s shipped sometimes within minutes you get tracking info. If you got an email that said back ordered, my bet is that it’s probably back ordered. |

They will NOT tell you the lead time or give you any indication as to when it will ship right now. My LT204 order from 03/17 shipped in 2.5 weeks. |

I have had the backordered notice come up in the past and it means exactly that...not in stock and like Alpha said, calling them will not get you an answer and I am saying that in a good way, as the last thing you want to hear is it will ship next week and that not happen.
Based on my experience with LT, I think they run the tightest ship when it comes to knowing inventory and what is available in stock, which is a good thing and speaks volumes for their system and procedures...very well oiled machine. Bronc |

Oh, and by the way, I have waited months for guns and weeks for other items. If I wanted something tomorrow I would have gone somewhere else and gotten a different product. Good luck with your wait. |

I suspect that back orders on his bread and butter items like mounts won’t be extremely long. But then I have been wrong before.

Quoted: Do they hold an order in backorder until they can ship complete, or do they partially ship orders? View Quote I just had experience and a phone call regarding this. Their protocol is to ship complete. However If you ask them to ship available items separate, they will. I simply added a comment on my order and the LT204 shipped in 2 weeks. My RMR mount has been back ordered for over a month now. |

Ok, I don't care as long as things actually are getting out at some point. I just thought it was a weird practice to list something for sale that didn't exist yet without actually saying as much. If that's par for the course with LaRue, I'm good with it. I can't remember if I've ever ordered anything from them before directly. I usually can grab what I want used on ebay or the EE.

Quoted: Is it worth calling? View Quote Depends on what you are trying to learn. In stock date? Nope, don't bother, most of the stuff they don't know. Want to see if something else is in stock and change your order to it? Sure, that's what I did and it shipped the very next day. I was on hold for a little over an hour, but cs was nice and took good care of me, I have no complaints. |

Backordered as well! Order placed on 3/7, backordered on 3/9. Ordered a MBT-2S trigger, CTR Stock RISR, a sling, and 2 qd end plates.

The backorder gave me the opportunity to swap the chosen mount to the 849. I am a little frustrated that the combo specifically had a big green "In Stock" button right on the page that remained for at least a couple of hours after I received my backorder notice. I did hear from customer service that they're expecting a shipment of MROs near the end of the month (I hope it's enough to cover my order considering that apparently they've been backordered for a couple of weeks without my knowledge). It's been several years since I've ordered anything from LaRue and didn't realize that apparently their site doesn't have live inventory. I probably would have waited on ordering the optic or ordered elsewhere but for the "in stock" indicator on the site. Don't get me wrong, I'm confident that I'll be happy at the end of this ordeal and I'm willing to cut some slack given this COVID nonsense... but that "in stock" indicator on an item that has apparently been backordered for a couple of weeks is probably going to grate on me for a while. |

Update: got an email this morning that my order was "complete" and a tracking number was given.

I saw you got your order completed OP, congrats. To all the other replies, I ordered a scope mount in the evening sometime around 4/12 that said it was in stock. The next morning I got the “back ordered” email. So I ordered a scope mount from a different vendor thinking it could be quite some time before my LT mount came in. Right after I got the notification that vendor #2s mount shipped, my LT order changed to complete and now I have a spare scope mount. Maybe i was just lucky, or maybe the system has a hiccup. I’ve always found the folks on the end to be pretty nice and upfront with a splash of what seems to be the “if you don’t like it, you are free to shop elsewhere” panache. But I’ve always felt taken care of by the company.

Well I sat on hold an hour to find out about my scope/mount combo that has been backordered a month. It was one of the Accupoint 3-9x40 scopes that was on sale. I was thinking it was the VFZ mount that was backordered, but they didn't have the scope in the first place and were waiting on it from Trijicon, who discontinued it. Well duh, I knew they discontinued it, that's why I was trying to buy one . . . I bought at LaRue over other places that had it in stock because of their price and mounts and great service history. I am a little pissed that it wasn't actually in stock. I have bought every serious optic over $500 from them over the past several years but I don't think I will be anymore. Still great mounts though.

Thanks for the update OP, I've been checking my inbox and no update for me yet.
But the annoying part is...since they are the manufacturer, you'd think they would be able to give more clarity during and immediately after the sale to set the right expectation regarding availability, shipping, etc. |

@robstitzer @grn06rubi Have any of you gotten any updates on your MROs? I was told that LaRue was expecting a shipment of MROs at the end of this month, and we've only got a couple of days to go before we reach June. It appears that mine's still backordered. |

Ordered a 5.56 lower, billet upper and an SAT rail. Recieved the lower the week after the open ordering for lowers went live. The billet upper and SAT rail have been back ordered since the lower went out on May 8 or 9th.
No biggie. The 3 major parts are getting cerakoted when the upper and rail arrive. Been collecting the other parts since the order. |

Like you, I'm in no hurry. But I figured when I'd ordered on 5/1 with it showing "in stock" I'd have received it by now. |

I received an update this morning stating that they were still about a week out on the MROs. I "@'ed" you guys so you can get an idea what the wait may look like from this point.

I have not had a chance to call them, but I will do so tomorrow. I really want to get my optic mounted and if they can't fulfill the order soon I'm going another route. Plus, I need another mount, but would rather make the extra effort to talk to them to get an idea of when it will ship vs. making the assumption the limited details on their website implies a in stock item.
