I see the second line of my address with the unit number on Brownells' site under Summary -> Personal Info, but they didn't include it on the shipping info sent to FedEx so there's a delivery exception. I talked to my rep at FedEx, but he said he couldn't fix the delivery address since Brownells put a "shipper restriction" on it. Any advice on how to get my package?
Also, the invoice address is something way out of date I changed almost twenty years ago. I can't find a way to update that on their website.z |

Brownells needs to call fedex on your behalf.
Moreover, they need to stop using fedex because they are the worst shipper known to man. their rep called me a while back and gave me the "what can we do to get your [company's] business back? When i said stop falsifying delivery confirmations and provide accurate tracking, she offered me some discounts. No thanks. |
|

they can ask Fedex to please take it to someone like USPS or UPS and leave it with them to actually make the delivery, this is the only way to improve things.

I called them again, and they said "Due to shipper restrictions, additional delivery options are not available for this shipment." Sucks Brownells did that.

FedEx is the worst shipper. Has that been said yet?
They're worse than DHL. |

I don't get a lot of FED-Ex deliveries, but they are usually OK.
A couple weeks ago I managed to slip a primers and powder order in at Brownells. FedEx, adult signature required. First delivery on Thursday, my wife and i happened to be home, status changed to "delivery attempted" with no knock or doorbell ring. Rescheduled for Friday. Wife and son are both home, son is working from the dining room right next to the front door. Same deal, they marked it an attempted delivery without trying to deliver. Rescheduled for Monday. No one will be home on Monday. I bit the bullet and tried to sign up with FED-Ex to "manage delivery". the system wasn't available. I downloaded the App on my phone. Delivery management not available. I called Brownells and explained the problem. Asked them to change the delivery to my work address. They agreed they would do it and call me back with an update. Saturday morning I'm upstairs and I hear a truck in front of the house (we are in the country, it's quiet here). I look out the window, it's the Fed-Ex truck. I go downstairs, as I approach I can see the driver walk up and he takes a picture of the door as I'm opening it. He was more than a bit surprised. I signed and we went down to his truck and got my package. The following Thursday evening I get a call from a helpful Brownells person following up on my request to change my delivery instructions. I think I'm done with Brownells for Ammunition, powder and primers. |

Good luck. Brownells doesn't give a shit. I don't understand why a company that had a storied reputation like Brownells continues to use an incompetent shipping company like FedEx. Not to mention the fact that Brownells is using an inferior shipping company I honestly don't know what the hell is going on at Brownells anymore. When I get a shipping notification on Wednesday and then just happened to check the tracking number today only to find out it hasn't been shipped yet. And of course it's coming retarded FedEx.
You see before Brownells updated their computer system you used to be able to call in and they would have an executive override on your account and you could choose ups only. That way when you order something on the web it would come UPS. Now they don't have the executive override, probably because they ask the programmers to take it out so that they can ship the cheapest, worst way which is FedEx. That way they save some money. You can tell how bad things are going at Brownells when you call customer service and you are the 115th caller in line and your estimated wait time is 89 minutes. What the hell has happened to you guys at Brownells? You used to be my go-to place for everything since 1990. Now maybe I might order something from you once every 3 or 4 months, if that. I don't know who's running the shitshow but they need to be fired and you need to hire somebody that actually gives a crap |

I used the call back feature and never got a call back. I'm giving up on Brownells....I've been a customer since 1990, my Dad since the early 80s. I've spent a lot of money there. Awesome- ordered on Tuesday, received emails on Wednesday same both items had shipped. But wait there's more. Only one was shipped but not until yesterday, the other one says label created on Wednesday hasn't been shipped yet.
Bang-up job there, Brownells... it's a hell of a thing when an opticsplanet order actually arrives before you guys and was ordered after I place the order with Brownells. This is going to be my last two orders with you guys. There's too many other options out there that knows what they're doing. The only way I will ever look at Brownells again if I can't find it anywhere else. |

I have ordered stuff from Brownells before and specified my PO Box number.
Fedex Ground can’t deliver to a PO Box. So instead of holding the package and calling me or informing Brownell’s so they could contact me, the driver ‘resolved’ my address what he thought was my actual physical address and was actually a place I lived 10 years ago where I no longer reside, and dropped the package there. Package disappears and someone get a free barrel. So Brownells had to replace it and I assume FedEx ate it. They both fucked-up. If Brownells had just told me what shipping service they were using, I would’ve given them a physical address to deliver the package. If the shipper had simply contacted either Brownell’s or myself and said they couldn’t deliver the package I could’ve gone by the regional hub and picked it up. |

I still don't have my order. The last email I received said "due to current high volumes, we are several days behind in answering emails." I had a hard deadline to receive the mags before July 1st because of state law, so I'm worried. The FedEx tracking number still shows "delayed."z

I just want to chime in to share my own FedEx woes. I have a Brownell’s order with two G rails and an UPK that shipped via SmartPost and started moving last Tuesday with an ETA of Wednesday. I knew that was a longshot. On Wed, it updated to Fri. When Friday came along, it updated to Sat. Meanwhile it trekked all the way to Hagerstown, MD, which is 150 miles away and typically the last stop before the local hub. Was waiting on the UPK for a build, and things were looking good for a weekend delivery.
Woke up Saturday morning to see that FedEx sent it in the opposite direction to Martinsburg, WV. It arrived at 1AM that morning and has been sitting there ever since with no additional updates. Package doesn’t even have a scheduled delivery date anymore. And of course this would happen with a shipment containing the final components of my build… |
