I am perplexed why I am having feeding issues with two BDM steel lipped 25 rd mags. I've had these for awhile, I bought them through PSA if I remember correctly, but I've only put a couple hundred rds through each of them since they are constantly failing. These are failing in two separate CMMG dedicated uppers that work flawlessly with the all polymer CMMG mags. They fail with Fed bulk packs and CCI Mini Mags. I have a couple left in the packaging unopened and am hesitant to open them until I can figure out the problem.
The most common failure... the round gets pushed upward in between the charging handle and the bolt in an almost vertical position. To remove the jammed round you have to hold the charging handle and push back on the bolt. One of the uppers has a stainless bolt assy and the other has a phosphate coating. It doesn't seem to matter, they both fail about 3 times per full mag.
We have 50 rd BDM drums that work great, I am disappointed to have problems with the steel BDM 25rd mags, I was hoping to phase out the CMMG as the feed lips wear out.
Thanks for the help.
