I was pissed with Gunbroker and eBay auctions - like every fuckin' time I lose . . .
Then I won on Gunbroker and was stoked , only to find out one from this seller who has not responded to my win and now has the item reposted . . . same as this BCG . edit : grammah |

@aeyoung - please share pictures and details on that SCW stock when it comes in. I've never seen that variation before.

So we will see - as of now it looks like it has been reviewed , I have a payment total and is marked pending payment . Also an address to send check or usps m.o. to .. Being as I have not gone through this process of mailing payment through a gunbroker auction it looks like I should send a usps m.o. so it is covered by their policy ? Are you sending a check ? or m.o. ? - not sure how I feel about either really ... Also , same , no replies to any comms . If these are legit he's got some good stuff at the moment . |

After reading some of these replies it may have worked in my favor to lose the BCM 901 charging from the guy. I led until the end. I was at the Tulsa show and didn’t want to go any higher.

Still no response via text or call . Really not sure what to think as of now . Gonna try an email outside gunbroker too I guess . eta : his account shows it's been verified - not sure how much weight that holds on there though . . . ? |

He could turn on airplane mode and it'll show as a disconnect instead of a hang up.
He might be a scammer. He might just be an odd bird who doesn't want to deal with anyone. Either way it's unusual. |

Ok so I called him back a few ago ..
The call was spotty so I thought again 'shit , shitty service ...' and all he kept really saying was "what can I do for you" while I was trying to explain the reason for my call , then disconnected and no answer when calling back a few times ... Sent another text with a quick explanation of the reason for my call , which were payment related , and no response .. So I took a walk up the drive to see if my signal changed and made two other calls to verify it was working . Called him back one last time and no answer , ring to voicemail ... I left a voicemail again with my reason for the call and my info again , and that I was hoping to hear back otherwise I was assuming it he was not who he says and is a scammer . Was a bit upset and took a walk back . Few minutes later he called me back , sounded like he was driving , and we had a conversation for a few regarding again the reason for my call and to square away the payment terms . Now I am not gonna vouch for him by any means , only sharing here as may be relevant to others , however as of the moment I am going to move forward with sending funds tomorrow - unless something comes up otherwise in the meantime . I asked him about working for Colt and he said he used to and threw out Brent's name , first and last , and his position there . Sounded like he was clearing out some personal stuff and I mentioned how some seemed to be too good to be true , which he agreed with .. sounds like an ok dude ... I hate to be skeptical , I also hate losing $$ to scammers ... |

I have or had several items from this seller in my GB watchlist. After reading what some of you are having to deal with I'm removing them - I don't have that kind of patience (or optimism).

Did he provide a tracking number?
At this time, 15 days later he hasn't provided one for my paid auction. Eta: Received item today. Per seller the Post Office returned it, and he had to ship it again. |

He has postitive feedback now. I should get my package tomorrow so will update then
|

Sorry , should've followed up here sooner .
I did end up sending a PMO out to him a few days after our conversation - 4/13 . Had no updates from him or on gunbroker , nor any tracking information - figured I'd wait a bit and see what happened . . . About a week after I mailed out the PMO FedEx showed up with a package that was unexpected , not that it's that uncommon around here , from Century Arms in Fairfax, VT - shipped on 4/18 and delivered on 4/21 . I still did not know what it was , as I didn't order anything from them , however figured / hoped that it was my shit - turns out it was . As of today still not updated on gunbroker as shipped - I am able to leave feedback though . Ended up with 2 - 901 Charging handles , 1 - BCG and 1 - Buttstock . All were listed as new however the buttstock was obviously slid onto a tube but came in the original package in new condition . The BCG is brand new with no signs of use , properly marked and with factory sticky shit on it . The charging handles are definitely take offs from rifles , however show no 'wear' other than installation and removal marks so I would consider them new so to speak - they are legit so I am not complaining . Also want to apologize to a couple of you guys , as I see who is who now on gunbroker , as I would have backed off on a couple of these items - I was very skeptical on the whole thing and just was like fuck it let's see what happens . . . Now that he delivered I am paying more attention . The people I don't recognize that are bidding / outbidding me I will continue to bid against . Just won the auction for one of the 6940 uppers he had listed so hoping the same outcome . Would really like a 901 BCG too . . . we see how that's going ... and the BCM style charging handle up right now would be cool - I have the extended latch and new CM style handles as of now and would add that to the collection , as well as a standard one if comes along again . Not that I 'need' any of them , however am keeping an eye on this seller as I am sure you guys are too . |
|
I’m going to need you to stay away from the BCM charging handle. Lol. I lost the last one late.

Thought I'd throw this out there:
The guy in Connecticut has not delivered my 901 BCG. This is now over a month since the auction ended. He hasn't provided tracking when asked, and is very slow to respond to messages. This was my 7th typical transaction from this seller. He is saying it is an USPS issue, but has not provided any tracking after several requests. I've given him opportunity to deliver or refund. I'd much rather have the BCG. I know I've been patient. Is it time for negative feedback and a buyer protection claim? I don't like leaving negative feedback jamming up his account. Or should I try a phone call? He seemed to be a little sloppy (I'm more conscientious when dealing with people), slow comms & shipping. The first GB transaction was supposedly returned (no tracking) and was reshipped. I left positive for that. I received a cleaning kit missing the oil and grease tube, not as advertised. Eta: I called/ spoke with him this afternoon, he did say it would workout either BCG or refund. Mentioned traveling this past month and difficult to keep up. He apparently didn't know if I had received it yet or not. He asks for a day or two more to look into it. How do you ship without a tracking number these days? |
|
|
My first transactions , after the initial communication issues I mentioned above , were fine - got my items as he described .
He hasn't updated gunbroker so they still show awaiting payment so he should definitely keep up with that shit . So then I had won a few more auctions - an upper receiver , Colt branded ar15 charging handle and 901 BCG . Same deal no updates on gunbroker or shipping , then package showed up the other day - upper receiver , USED 901 BCG and some other shit (sling , scope rings / mount ) and no charging handle The BCG was listed as new unfired - as all of his 901 BCG listings say - so that's a bit of a pissa , however it's like new and maybe only has a few rounds on it The other stuff though upsets me - I would've taken a refund with some comms if he misposted the CH and didn't have another one rather than the shit sent . I have not heard from him as of now Will update accordingly . Again my packages came from the place I mentioned above and not a residence / person - not sure where that factors in . |
|
Last week he asked for additional time, 'a couple of days'. I gave him 3 with no response from him.
I sent him a message asking for a full refund this morning. If he doesn't make good on a refund. My only recourse is leaving negative feedback and filing a buyers protection claim to recover 'some' of my payment. This is another reminder buyer beware. Eta: after emailing, the guy responded & gave me the option of reshipping the BCG or refund. I chose BCG and asked that he provide tracking. He hasn't been too keen on providing a tracking number in my past dealings with him. Eta2: The guy did finally deliver, today I received a 'fired' 901 BCG, complete 'with carbon on the bolt & firing pin', the carrier appeared clean. FedEx was the carrier shipped from Century Arms. He did provide tracking this time, 2 day delivery. I'm fortunate to have the extra part, but its not exactly what I paid for. Not as described, poor comms and sloppy business dealings. Twice he had no idea if I had received a package or not. He did not provide tracking until he had to 'reship' items. From my '8' completed transactions with this seller, I do not recommend. I likely will not leave a stellar review in the feedback. |
