Hi Magpul,
I was wondering if you would consider developing a 30rd PMAG optimized for the 6.5 Grendel, similar to the 6.8 SPC mag developed for the LWRC Six8. This would be for dedicated 6.5 rifles built around the new, larger magazine - not an attempt to shoe horn a polymer 6.5 into a regular AR magwell.
The difference here being that, unlike the Six8 mag, where compatible rifles are only available from LWRC, this magazine would be released to the Industry at large, so that any company that wants to can develop 6.5G rifles that use the new magazine. This open source release would allow everyone from PSA to Larue to develop a 6.5 G rifle at a variety of price points - and also ensure that there were many more customers for the new 6.5 PMAG.
This would be a huge boon to everyone - Magpul would sell a bunch of 6.5 mags, Industry would sell a bunch of 6.5 G rifles and ammo, and shooters would finally have a perfected 6.5 platform.
