That is one fine rifle in slow motion HD goodness
They needed 8 OBR's. I guess they couldn't buy 2 and trust people to safely bring them along. |

So did they come to you to use the OBR, or did you go to them? Phone rang ... we answered it. Good to see the OBR on there. I put in an app, they called me for a video, I sent it in & a request to have the OBR in the mix for this season(for whatever that's worth - idk if my little request had any impact or not). Unfortunately, as yall can see, there's no long-haired viking helmet wearing Texan on the show this season...so I obviously didn't make the cut. Had fun making the video & talking w/ the cast. Bummed i didn't make the cut, but there's always next season. Off to gather reloading supplies while watching the show. |

Dustin Ellerman:
The LaRue Tactical OBR - one of the finest AR's I've ever handled. It was so lightweight (9lb) I thought it was a .223 not .308. I fell in love, it reeks of quality. Absolutely excellent Giselle trigger was 2 stage perfection. The sweet one piece top rail was perfect as well. Will have to get me one! (or 2, .223 as well) You can get in line here: http://larueosr.com/lt762-18-obr762rifle.aspx Mark, This is what Dustin said about the OBR on his FB page! BigDozer66 |

Were they using Larue scope mounts? I didn't pay enough attention to see.
ETA: Nevermind, watched the breakdown video and got my question answered. |

It was a great plug for Larue Tactical and the OBR . The program really showed you who knew there way around AR platfoms. I could not believe a few of the contestants was actually charging the rifle without a magazine being loaded!
|
|
I was just thinking about all the slow motion. Do you guys think that they edited the video to add the projectile in flight?
Say the bullet is traveling 2700fps. If you are videoing at 5000fps that projectile is moving 6 inches per frame. Or @ 10,000fps the projectile would be moving 3" per frame. Those projectiels look to be moving much less per frame. |

Now imagine being in a Comp on TV in front of Millions of viewers. There was a vid floating around here of a comp and the guys had to run up a hill/berm, using the top of the hill as a rest and shoot over it at a target. The one guy's mag fell out while he was running. When the rifle neglected to fire when he pulled the trigger, he charged it again and again till he noticed the lack of magazine in the magwell... Was pretty funny to watch... |

Great segment! Good to see y'alls OBR oin mainstream TV. I wish they would have been shooting at 400 yards to show a little of what the gun can do.

Between the couple of folks that forgot to load a mag, to the ones who ran them dry and had to fumble through getting rounds in the mag under stress, I'm not sure which was more entertaining... Or maybe it was the guy who could not make it up the pole...

makes me love my OBR's even more...think I'll go burn up some ammo tomorrow!

was that a new muzzle break? Was wondering, myself. Is it because they are in Cali? BigDozer66 |
|
What was going on at the last platform? Did you notice after the first shooter shot, he took up a position on the second shooter's right and was what appeared to be stretching his shirt out in an attempt to make himself larger? Was he trying to shade the optic for the guy? The previous stages they were spotting after they shot, but not this guy. Thoughts?
