I may have used those numbers in another post which were intended to not be exact.
I agree that sales of the CR6700A4 probably haven't been very strong. I've been seeing them as low as 1099. I also agree that the sales of the MPS-B don't seem to be very strong. I think consumers are over the Magpul craze. Additionally the 6960/6940/6920EPR are better options at close price points.
I need a CR6700A4, CR6960, CR6920MPS-B and the 2021 production 2018 SOCOM to complete my collection for the year but I have stumbled and bought some other oddities instead. I thought I had a SOCOM sourced but may end up having to shop for one. The downside to that is the good deals on them are gone now. Keeping my eyes open for FBP-1 and FBP-2's. It hasn't been that long since AU had a small batch of FBP-2's but I hesitated on the buy button too long.

IMO, I think a couple of easy fixes could improve sales.
First, they should dump all those low tier Centurion rails they still have to someone, anyone, at wholesale.
Second, mark the CRs with COLT CARBINE. This is so f~king obvious, if you concede that M4 isn’t coming back. As I’ve said, I would just put the Colt logo centered closely above CARBINE and put the Pony on the opposite side of the magwell.
Configure two CRs. One with the M4 handguard and one with a Colt FF rail similar to what you see on the CMs. Leave all the aftermarket stuff off of them. Discontinue the EPR, because it won’t be needed and discontinue the MPS-B
. MSRPs of $849 and $999.
This could make the CMs a distinct second tier, with the 14.5 p/w as the longest barrel offered. MSRP of $1499.
If AR15A4 is going the way of M4 CARBINE, then what’s the answer for the 20”? Colt RIFLE? It’s not great, but I’d buy one and anything would be better than what’s on them now.
I’ve been buying Colts since the ‘80s and I’d buy all of the above, except the base CR. As it stands right now, Colt has nothing I’m interested in.
