I no longer have a way to print at home, so mailing in the form is a no go....has anyone done the "online" renewal or change of address?
and if so do they require a Drivers license pic with the new address like on the form?  or do they just get it from the DMV?

I really don't want to click on the IdentoGO link till I have everything I need... can someone who has used it walk me through it... thanks...

Just did mine a few weeks ago. Need your new driver's license with new address on it. You will need the take a picture of it when doing the online thing. No fee.

Just got my updated address permit today. So maybe a little over 3 months to get processed?

thanks, for the update... I'm rolling into the 40th day...  last time I moved (5 years ago) it took exactly 9 days, and I mailed it in

I wish there was a way to check the "status" ,  guess I'll just be patient...

My wife did her DL address change four weeks after mine and filed her CCW change of address later. I expect hers is still 6 weeks out.

It arrived yesterday... so just about 70 days for a change of address replacement.... just in case anyone else is wondering...

My wife's permit should be here anytime. When the legislators took away the fees, surely they increased SLEDS budget to make up for the loss? Or maybe not?

Wife's permit showed up on November 7, but had no issue date or expiration date printed on it. I called and they sent another one with the correct information. It showed up on November 13. Pretty fast when they want to be.

Last time I moved I notified them of my address change.  Woman from SLED called me to let me know I was about to expire and asked if I wanted to renew. I said I did and she explained that my expiration was in a couple of weeks and they were backlogged months. I don't know if that's changed, but a girl I know had to wait around 180 days to get her initial permit issued, and that was a few weeks ago.

I know this idea is a logical theme that doesn't make sense to .gov people. Why require a 5 year renewal, when driver's licenses are 10 year. The DL is the primary personal identification anyway. Make it eight years and cut the paperwork by 50%?

Why require a permission slip from the government for a God-given Civil Right?  Driving is a privilege; carrying a Glock 18 and M67 fragmentation grenade is a right.

Okay, let's just call it the state issued ID card then. As far as rights go, when I was hunting during the mid 1970's, I could carry a pistol. If I came to town and went in a restaurant, the pistol had to stay in the car. Otherwise a charge from the local LEO'S.

Shall issue concealed carry from 1996 and open carry from 2021. It's a hell of a lot better than the 100 years of jim crow inspired  selective rights for regular people.

Israel found out that trying to deny weapons to the radical Muslims materialy assisted the terrorist attacks on civilians.

My how what goes around comes around.

Given the history of South Carolina, it's a shame that it exists in this current form, especially from a standpoint of firearms rights.

The good thing is that there are politicians here that think the right way. A much better trend than many other states.
