Fort Wayne is better, a little safer than Indianapolis. My daughter move to Ft. Wayne last year and her neighborhood is pleasant, middle class not your cookie cutter $300K homes. With that said I would live in either but on the outskirts….

Ft Wayne is the most conservative city of its size in the state. It's a great place to live, but it's still a city. The suburbs and surrounding rural communities are great.
