never actually done it as we cant up here in WI.  but always see folks doing it,  just wondering if there are some spots we could tool along on the beach for a short jaunt

The GA coast is made up of a bunch of barrier islands and is predominantly marsh land. Not too many sandy beaches and I don't know of any place you can drive on. Some of the coastal GA residents may know better, I'm from the NW GA mountains, so I'm not an expert on the matter.

I think you have to dip into Florida (St. Augustine) for beach driving.  I'm not aware of anywhere in GA that allows it and pretty sure South Carolina is similar.

Wife and I spent this past weekend in Jacksonville and our son came down to visit so he could drive his Tacoma on the beach at Huguenot Memorial Park.

It was a bad weekend as it was crowded, but we drove down past most vehicles and drove right up to the waterfront.  My son was down there a couple months ago for his spring break and said nobody was there and was able to hit 60mph on that beach
