It looks like it will. If you look on the colt website they show CA compliant models in the drop down menu, along with other "compliance" states. The only thing keeping most handguns off the roster is the "micro Stamping" scam, but that only applies to Semi-autos.

Edit: Yes all handguns have to pass a drop test

Only the Cobra's and King Cobra's if buying New. This is Off of the newest Roster list.

Just because it isn't on the roster now doesn't mean it "won't" be. Also remember to look at the "recently added guns" on the roster.
