I'm from Oklahoma but will be in Arlington with family for a couple days next week and would love to know where to go to get some good BBQ and/or a good steak.  Any suggestions?  I also make it somewhat of a tradition to go visit the local bass pro anywhere I go and I noticed there is one a little north in grapevine.  Are there any other outdoor stores in the area that are worth checking out?

Here's a couple of ideas for you. Look up the story on Jambo's. Not much to look at, but good food and history.

If you're coming down I-35W, Exit 407 in Argyle for 407 BBQ.   I live in Arlington, and it's worth the 35 minute drive.  Jambo's is okay, and I think it's the best in Arlington.

Mercury Chop House for steaks. Not cheap.

Go checkout Texas Live by the new Rangers ballpark.

The best Steakhouse in the general DFW area is Knife, then probably B&B Butchers.

If you’re really into Steakhouses, Knife is worth the trip as it offers dry aged options that surpass most Steakhouses in the country. It’s phenomenal. B&Bs is also great as they generally start at around a 45 day aged timeframe.
