She's originally from Longview, but likes anywhere in WA apart from the Yakima area. Seems there are a lot of places available up in Northeast WA (Oroville/Colville)

How is the madness in rural WA? Is it contained to the I-5 corridor?
Link Posted: 1/7/2021 10:26:35 PM EST
Yes, there are plenty of nice places to live in WA.

Unfortunately, however, the liberal cancer of Seattle/King Co. is spreading and WA is no longer a 'gun friendly.'

$.02 worth,
Boss

@M-1975

My Humble Opinion

The Seattle Cancer is spreading as mentioned above.

I'm in Snohomish County.  Highway 99 is infested with bad elements, to put it lightly.  And the urban sprawl has spread.  Even in high end Edmonds I see needles on the ground in parking lot.

Also, the Evergreen State is not so evergreen when every available square foot is developed for high density housing.  King, parts of Sno, and Pierce County are dead to me.  Everyday Seattle looks more like a 3rd world hell hole.

Also, with the house, governor's mansion, and state supreme court, more taxes are likely on the way.

That said, the rural areas of WA can't be beat.  They'll get hit by Inslee's Royal Decrees, but the rural Sheriffs/Pol leaders seem largely resistant to his shit.

The key is if a state capital gains tax gets passed this year.  That will pave the way to a state income tax.

Not sure if this helps.  More Q's, just PM me

Cap gains = income, per the IRS. WA state constitution mandates income tax must be applied uniformly, no progressive rates like fed. So when a cap gains tax goes into effect, it won't be confined to investment sales, meaning everyone's paycheck takes the same hit; Hobo Joe pays the same state income tax as Jeff Bezos. The stupid constituents will applaud/bitch/moan/pony up & vote for more of the same.

Moments of clarity can occasionally manifest with psychosis, but even if manifest, they are fleeting & inconsequential to the overall condition. Just saying.

I wouldnt come here.

If you read through last few years posts lots of people talking about leaving. More so recently.

Ive got exit plans.

Thanks for the info.

The idea was to move outside of someplace between Wenatchee, Twisp, and Colville NF and get lost in the woods as much as possible. The cities suck everywhere; I was hoping to find some small gov't minded area where no one gets in your business and gives a middle finger to Olympia.

We're also looking at Idaho.

Lot of idahoans are in denial, but they're exactly where Wa was 20-30yrs ago.

Liberal ideals and socialist gov follows population growth, and idaho population is on the rise.

If you expect the live another 40yrs and dont want to uproot again look a little further out than idaho. Theres a couple states left that are super rural but the weather sucks, lol.

If you're in rural WA, the parts that the Seattle tyrants generally ignore, you'd be fine.

I guess your idea of NE WA would work. If you like to eat at restaurants or do anything social, forget about that for a long time.

As others have posted, I'm working on getting my family out. I love the beauty of the state, but I don't want to live my remaining 35-40 years as I have the last year.

If I were moving anywhere now, it'd be TX, TN, SD or FL. I'm trying for FL myself.

Why would you move to Colville or Oroville or anywhere in NE WA and not just keep going into Idaho?

Washington is now Kali North.
You will surely lose All your gun rights here soon.
I am going to South Dakota.

I live almost smack in the middle of the state, the cancer is everywhere here, thing is, we don’t give two shits about them or what they have to say. Don’t want to wear a mask, don’t no ones going to tell you to. Masks over here are like a identifier of who’s, who and what side your on. Makes it easier if their not driving a Subaru.

Yeah WA is a shithole in general, it’s tweakerville all over, W. Wa is opiates and central and E is opiates plus meth.

I’ve always said the shitattle area has all of the downsides of CA (and many more, like the dogshit weather and trash food scene), but none of the upsides.

We just sold and are on the way out, trying to decide where as we do not want our son growing up in this area.

The weather around shitattle alone is enough to make you crazy, everyone I know who is sane left or is leaving (and said they never been happier and wish the had left years earlier), the only ones inbound really are H1B workers and Chinese trying to hide money and/or give CCP more of a foothold on the west coast.  Bellevue is basically 80% chinese now, and the politics are showing that and the cancer has spread throughout the state and is strange 4 terminal.  This place is extremely corrupt and bends over backwards for the chicoms, so i wouldn’t recommend anywhere in this people’s republic of Washington these days
Link Posted: 1/9/2021 4:55:44 AM EST
It's the coming gun laws that bother me.

I know wa will have an awb and mag ban.

The question is how soon for both and then what?

Had no plans on leaving until recently. Cannot wait to be done here.

Im in small town eastern Washington outside of Spokane and have a cabin towards chewelah, some very good people and sheriffs here, but I’d leave if it was feasible. North Idaho will hold out a while longer but soon enough it won’t matter what state. Pockets of likeminded people will be all that’s left

I’m in North Idaho. Come on in but do it quick. Everyone fleeing WA, OR, CA seem to be coming as quick as they can get here. Bidding wars and properties listed $100k+ what they were listed for just last year. So far we’ve been pretty immune to the stupid.

Where do you plan on going? Seriously, all your doing is buying a little time, it honestly won’t matter, Biden and the rest will see to it that what we thought was restrictive, was nothing. You won’t be able to hide, and there will not be any red states left here shortly, once Texas falls it is all over. Hell it’s over now, we’re on life support and the Dems have proved they can steal elections, it’s doubtful we will see another republican president or republican controlled house or senate. The ramifications of this election were huge, and I’m afraid the chances of a peaceful reversal are gone forever.

And its to bad because liberal policies and dem led gooberment follows that population growth. Home and property prices rocketing up is the first warning sign. Pretty soon foreigners will want to invest and buy property there. Then jobs start increasing which leads to more people......

I figure Idaho has about 20yrs. 20yrs to build up to the homeless problem in boise, then the crime, then the state debt and higher taxes and finally the cry for gun control.

Not exactly in that order and Im sure Im missing a few things, but that how the play book was followed for kali, Wa, oregon and colorado.

Drive through western MT and all you see near every city are new cookie cutter housing developments straight out of California because that's who they're selling to

We have 15 acres about an hour outside of Billings that MIL is leaving to us. Paid off with a cabin on it. MIL will likely be moving to OR to take care of her parents and it will be in our name. Starting to look at the options for keeping the home in an idle ready state. We can  be there in about 14 hours of non stop driving.

If my job wasn't in the maritime industry I'd be over there already

Yeah, it seems wise to cross WA off the list. Sucks because we loved it 20 years ago.

Looking at the mountains of TN/NC.

You are mostly correct.
But, there are several red states, that will stay that way.
I am heading to SD, next year, after my house is built.
No worries there.

Born and raised in Seattle, but been gone for most of my adult life...  Returned back to WA after retiring from two careers and it was basically a mistake.  Been thinking of popping smoke and un-assing the AO, but my kids and grandkids are here.

If WA goes full-retard on guns within the next 1-2 years, I’ll have no choice but to leave.

In non-COVID times, there is plenty to like about this area, but it’s been close to a year living in basically “lock-down” conditions and that’s not changing anytime some.

I live in the South King County area and the craziness of Seattle is infecting the whole State with their stupidity...  So, if you can live in the Northern Satellite State of California, you’re good to go.

PS, Californians are moving into Idaho in mass and will phuck that State up in a few years.

Yea, honestly nowhere is safe, what it’s going to boil down to is cost of living. With what the D’s plan to do to this nation, nowhere will be safe. It’s not going to matter what states want, the assault on firearms will be second to none. It really is coming down to, “come and take them”. “Shall not be infringed” is going to be a memory. I’m staying here, there won’t be enough of a difference anywhere, and I know the lay of the land and the people.

Same with my new neighbor who moved here from the Sacramento area.
I've had a chance to meet many displaced conservatives at Trump rallies in Boise.

Those who warn about Idaho's impending turn to blue, don't live here.

Time and time again, studies have shown the majority of the influx to ID are conservatives.
I spent a week in WA for Christmas and it validated my decision to retire to ID.

My neighbor dropped by the other day and we went out to lunch for a burger and beer.
We didn't have to wear masks and the restaurant served us inside without fear of fines or closure.

I'm not even going to get into Guns, Taxes or Quality of Life.

Your brother = sample size of 1. And 1 point on the map does not represent or have its finger on the rest of the population. The long term pattern is always the same: when things go bad & persist some place, people leave that place. Political leanings don't lock in that migratory demographic. I moved to WA from CA 26 years ago, & I'm conservative. That didn't prevent the leftist hordes from infesting this state.

Home prices have increased 391% in Boise since '91, meanwhile, presidential results have been relatively stable. Newsom-lovin' Californians are also moving to ID to escape the mess they were complicit in creating, & given income demographics, more of them will be able to afford the state's rising home prices compared to conservative immigrants. Home price demographics are a thing, & the migratory shift out of CA (& other D hell holes) is up-trending. Red states are "next".

WA is ~20+ years ahead of ID. I hope it doesn't go the way I think it will, but I thought WA would hold, & it didn't. Statistics shift, & hope doesn't make up for it.

Living here and actually talking to people that live here, many who are transplant from other states, contradicts your opinion.
The vast majority of those who have recently moved here are conservatives escaping liberal states.
Nor did I move here without doing my research, finding several studies originating in ID have stated the majority of the influx here are conservatives.

How much time have you spent in Idaho, and what have you heard from the people you've talked while you've been here?
Do you have any actual experience with Idaho, or is it just subjective conjecture?

Your stable presidential results shows a 2/3 rep majority to 1/3 dem minority for the last 20yrs.
What about that shows a left leaning drift?

Here are some stats the actually originate from an Idaho source.

I guess what I'm getting at is that past performance doesn't necessarily indicate future results. The exodus from progressive states has quickened, & I suspect that'll effect traditional red states (eg. MT), but only time will tell what the extent will be.

It bugged me that the best economy we've seen in years wasn't sufficient to sway enough voters, even barring the election malfeasance. It demonstrates that there are significant believers in left wing ideology, & they aren't all just going to stay in certain states. They'll move, & there are a lot of them - enough to swing a state. Any state.

Wait until the S border opens up...

You are a broken record, and are missing my point, it really won’t matter where you go, what will be coming down from above will be on the national level. Constitution be damned, the war on gun owners and those who don’t comply is about to begin no matter where you reside.  The reason you cite for leaving are state level, you are missing the federal level. We are going to become enemies of the state, moving won’t change that. It really is time to pull your head out of your ass and realize, it is not where you go, but it’s who you are. It really does depend on the area, not unlike Washington now. I have family in southern Idaho, they are the first to tell you the Kali invasion is happening there. I have family in Spokane and many friends in North Idaho area. One good friend lives in Athol, I do t recognize it after a couple years.
Silverwood was in the middle of nowhere really when first built, now look. The company I work for  is large in Eastern Washington and Williston. They had a North Idaho division that was basically a office and small crew, now it’s relocating to a larger building and storage yard, and we are sending more and more crews over to train new hires.

I choose to be in a Red Ultra Conservative State, when the SHIT HITS THE FAN.

It is My Right as a Citizen, Veteran and Patriot.
So, enjoy the Total Degradation Of KALI NORTH, where You Choose to stay.
I am moving to The Land of Freedom.
That is where I will Weather the Storm.

Good Luck, staying in this up and coming CESSPOOL.
I also, went to Capital Letters, for KALI NORTH, just for you.
As far as a broken record, you are right on one thing, you will always hear KALI NORTH, from me, because that is what Washington has become.

Again, your missing my point, the liberals in control of this country do not care where you live, it’s all going to be a shit sandwich and were all going to take a bite. I have family in Idaho and friends as well. I have planned on moving there eventually anyway. You are obviously unfamiliar with Eastern Washington, I was raised here, and know many, many people. Who will have your back and who won’t. I know where to go, Eastern Washington is not like Western Washington, and here you can still sport your Trump stickers without fear of reprisals. I absolute loath the government and everything they stand for and do. I for one do not see any advantage to moving when my SHIT plans are here with many people I’ve known for most of my life. I have also seen the contracts we have where I work for big developments in North Idaho, that is wet side and Kali money. They are like locusts and will move and devour everything in their path. Obama’s polices for rural America are only going to help fuel this growth, I have also stated many times I plan on retiring in Idaho, but until I see what shit our present leaders are going to do it may be moot. If they take our guns or attempt to things are going hot far sooner than anyone predicted if their not already moving 6 months from now may be to late. I am not making any decisions that effect my finances as everything I have is now paid for, I’m not assuming any debit for at least a year, maybe more.

Do I like it here, damn straight, I love the land and the people, I hate the rulers, and if Biden takes away any advantage then why take on debit when I don’t need to? If shit really goes south, I can hunt, fish and garden where I live now, my neighbors have my back, and I, theirs.  There will be no safe zone, the left hates the right, and if they can’t change us, then they will hit reset, if that isn’t there plan anyway. You are correct you can live anywhere you want, but the move should have been made prior to now, Biden is going to level the playing field for everyone except the elite and the faithful followers. Trying to set up new long range plan and infrastructure now in the midst of chaos is not tactically a smart move. I know who will collaborate here, and who will loose everything before they will say a word here. I know who I can, and can not trust here. That to me is far more important now than anything else. Anywhere anyone goes there will be pockets of free areas, and enslaved areas, I also know I can trust the LEO’s here. I’m not worried now, the bigger picture has my attention for the foreseeable future.

I like rural WA, but problem is, it's still governed by Olympia. If you're looking at Colville you might as well go across the border to Idaho. Certainly buys you more time on the gun rights front.

I live in Eastern Washington, but The West is screwing everything up, as you know.
Don't worry about me, I already have everything arranged where I am moving.
Been planning for a few years now.
Everything is already set.
Nice 2 acre lot, surrounded by 3 Lakes.

If you're serious about moving to WA State, give some of these videos a watch.

We the Governed

The channel's spokesperson is named Glen Morgan and he is a Thurston County native. I have been a WA resident my whole life, and I thought I would want to stay forever. I loved the Bellingham area up until around 2014. That's when I noticed how grungy Bellingham had become, and the cities in Western Washington overall. The biggest problem and detriment to WA State is the King County area. It ultimately dictates how the state leans and what happens politically. Between King, Jefferson, and Island Counties, that is 34% of the vote. That concentration is what the big problem is, as there needs to be a huge counter-leftist vote for something to not get passed. However, it is increasingly difficult due to the slow creep of leftists northward out of California and Oregon. Oregon used to be nice and similar to WA. It however went full steam retard and legalized all drugs for personal use. That should be an indicator of the direction WA will be going.

The majority of people don't like the lockdowns we are currently experiencing, but the majority of people voted for the governor who instituted them again. It is the definition of insanity. People are tired of the homelessness, the hopelessness, the drugs, the traffic, the policies, the taxes, etc., that keep breaking our backs. I'm concerned that Inslee will institute an income tax because they have too many programs and not enough of "other people's money". My entire family is here, my side, my wife's side, and I feel as though the noose is slowly tightening. As if I need to make a break for it to at least save myself and my family. My brother wants out, my mom wants out, my dad wants to stay as does my wife because all of her family live here.

I'm probably the most political of anyone in my family, and it is difficult to explain the constant droning stress and impending doom our Constitution faces here in WA State. Government blatantly ignores and bypasses laws to suit their own ideas and plans. Crazies move into the State and vote for the same things that ruined their states. Socialists, and extreme leftist democrats slowly work their way into the local government to subvert it for their leftist policies of further destruction of traditions and traditional morals. The entire city of Bellingham has become a northern satellite of Seattle. The leftists usurped their power from moderates, and now the whole city is going downhill and fast. I moved to the "country" (AKA rural county) and now they're building housing at an insanely alarming rate. New developments all over, literally hundreds of houses being built in a city with the population of 2,000ish a little east of Lynden. @migradog mentioned he lived in Lynden, the place where they had a Trump rally in May 2016. I couldn't see that happening again this go around. People actually putting up Biden signs in rural areas shows how much the infiltration has effected traditionally conservative areas. And they're proud of their signs, like thumbing their noses at conservatives who they view as dumb, redneck, and deplorable.

In the end, the WA State your wife remembers from when she lived here is not the WA State you would be moving her to. She would do well to fly out, rent a car and tour the areas she thinks were great when she lived here. Chances are she wouldn't want to do it alone either, especially on the westside of the state.

Washington state has essentially two different political groups...liberals populate the west from just south of the Canadian border and within 40 miles east and west of I-5 down to about Tumwater.  Most of the rest of the state is more conservative.

The problem is that the folks in that I-5 corridor have so many more people in it, that the can push through just about any liberal agenda they want to.  Washington state has resorted to mob rule where the highly populated but geographically small area of the state runs rough shod over the rest of the state's residents.

Both the state legislature, and major cities like Tacoma and Seattle are run by very liberal groups.  Seattle has now even gone so far as to specify that they will not arrest for, nor prosecute any misdemeanor crimes, or drug use/possession.  The lack of any drug enforcement means that the heroin addicts can use/possess their heroin without fear of being caught, and this in turn causes all the crime generally associated with people who are struggling to obtain money for their next fix.

An additional problem is that because Seattle won't prosecute misdemeanors, many business owners are having the insurance for their businesses cancelled.  This in turn is driving even more businesses out of the Seattle area.

I sure wouldn't move to Washington at this time.  I would seek somewhere else like Montana, or Idaho.

It already has gone full-retard.  A women has to wait 10 days before she can get a gun to protect herself.  Good thing she has that restraining order ...

Mitt Romney was elected in Utah.  That shows you the bad state this country is in.
