Now there you go using common sense again!!!!  This state is controlled by a Democrat held house and senate.  For the past several years, the house democrats have not allowed any vote on gun  bills unless they are anti-gun.  The House (madigan) won't even allow them a vote in committee.  Your guy can introduce a bill but as long as the democrats control things, it won't see the light of day.  I have no doubt that Governor Rauner would sign this bill should it make it to his desk.  I'll guarantee pritzker would veto any such bill.

The lax confiscation of FOI cards for disqualifying offenses will undoubtedly serve as evidence of why waiting periods should still apply when considering CCW permits, despite the hypocrisy of it.

Why?  Because anti-gun democrats want to make it as inconvenient as they can get away with in order to dissuade you from purchasing a firearm.

In their worldview people who carry guns are probably even more suspect.

This is what those dumb assholes in Chicago want.  I personally don`t think there should be any waiting periods.

OP, don't waste your time.  No pro gun bill will ever see the light of day until madigan, madigan and cullerton are out of the picture.

I think you alluded to it, but anytime you see a bill referred to Rules, it's basically dead, unless Madigan pulls it back.  Just one of many procedural tricks he uses to his advantage.
