The narrative is that everyone coming in from out of state is going to turn the place blue. But if you look at the laws that are actually passing, that's not the case. At least, not when it comes to the 2nd Amendment and self defense.
Why is this happening?

Generally, conservative legislators combined with heavy LDS presence...general agreement from wife (no pics) who's worked for a few senators for 10+ years.
Even the dem / libtard running for governor backed off on an initial opinion to ban AR's, and backpedaled to they are actually OK since her brothers hunt with them...or something similar.
I'd also say that the state Constitution states Idaho will follow federal law in the area of the 2nd. It allows new firearms-related laws in only 3 areas...
Cities and counties may restrict shooting in certain areas, though that excludes self-defense / home-defense "good shoots".
Passing laws for punishing illegal possession and/or use of a firearm...e.g., armed robbery, possession by a felon, etc.
Allow county sheriffs to set requirements and process for CWL's. With CC it may be superfluous, though I picked the enhanced CWL when it was first offered...reciprocity, no NICS for a local gun store deal, and ability
to carry where not allowed by CC. U of I, etc.
