I met Subnet and swingset for breakfast tacos yesterday. Let this thread run for a few more days and I'll try to set something up. Since there are a lot of us north-ish, it'll probably in that area. I assume Tex-Mex or something similar would work? I'm thinking the Chuy's on North Lamar - they're usually not that crowded and have outside seating.

I’m just north of Austin but not sure we should be maintaining a public list of our localities.

It was 53k and some change in the 2010 census and they've been throwing up cheap houses and crappy apartment complexes as fast as they can since then. The latest estimate I can find is from 2019 and was over 65k. If it isn't at least close to 70k when the final 2020 census numbers come out I'll be surprised. Plus there are a lot of neighborhoods like mine that have Pflugerville addresses and zip code but are not actually in the city limits. Anyway, I bet the feds already know where everyone who uses arfcom lives anyway, so I'm not that worried being "outed" about this thread either. |

An hour north of Austin, but small enough that no one will probably be making a thread for my area.

Back and forth, back and forth. Currently driving to Austin for work 1-2 days a week
We always lived West when we were there, Bee Cave, then North of Lakeway off of 620, the finally Cedar Park. Really liked Cedar Park, but traffic on 183 was killing me, and now yall have lost Best of the West.. Was there for 10 years, moved away, and headed back shortly since we have been picking up a few projects there. We're building a new office / warehouse in the Buda area. I'll be buying a house in between Kyle / New Braunfels and West of 35 |

Did any of you guys attend the Banned of Brothers machine gun shoots at Tiger Valley years ago or the YO Ranch shoots?

I remember when they put on those Banned of Brothers shoot(s). I think they did maybe two of them before they stopped.
I never could finagle an invite to the YO shoot although it looked like fun and I think it ended some years back as well as the YO was sold. I used to go to Keith Allison's place outside Brookshire for his machinegun shoots many years ago but I think even that shoot has winded down at this point. I have also been to the "Crazylady" shoots at Fourmans place in Liberty Hill, the "Springbreak" shoots at Itsaranchrifles place outside Llano, and the "cheesecake" shoots at Wolfy's place east of Taylor. Many moons ago there were a couple machinegun shoots held at one of the ranges up 183, when it was called "Stans Gun Range". I think some of the first digital videos I have of machinegun shoots were from the shoots at Stan's range. The last organized machinegun shoot I was at in Texas was outside Waco in Axtell (near Tiger Valley) maybe 3ish years ago that was organized on HKPRO. |

I went to one of those shoots at Stan's up 183. That's actually the first place I shot an AR15. At the time I only had an AR10.
