Whole packer is damn near $100 at Costco. Any butcher recommendations in the NW/Summerlin area? Thanks.

Unfortunately, everything I have found in the west and northwest valley have been pricey, like $5/lb and up. Fortunately I stocked up when they were $2.79/lb but I would be interested if someone finds a deal.

Smith's has the best prices that I have found.  You just have to check their sales flyer every week.

I tried smoking one of theirs and it was tough as jerky.

Doubtful you'll find any deals but check with freedom meats.

Call the butcher block. They specialize in high-end and game meat, but they may be able to order you one at a fair price.
