The Astor Column has a terrific view, and if you feel like a bit of a workout, the stairs to the top will get the cardio kicked in.
The restaurants in Astoria have been reasonably good, but I usually prefer the informal atmosphere of the Crab Pot in LongBeach. Haven't been there for a couple years, so no guarantees. If you go to Long Beach, please say hello to Jake the Alligator man at Marsh's museum. |

Just there last Friday and today. The maritime museum is kinda neat but a little spendy for what it is. I always like going out to Fort Stevens to the South Jetty, I love the view and there's an observation platform out there. Saw a couple whales offshore this evening.

The Goonies house.
Column. The Bow Picker boat/restaurant for fish n chips. It's a neat little town. When I was a west coaster I enjoyed visiting. Have fun!
