First week in April, I will be in Atlanta for some training at the ATL. My hotel is just north of the airport, and I'll be Ubering everywhere.
Don't have a schedule of events yet, but I'm expecting to be busy 0800-1700ish every day, with study time in my off time. Already done the Coca-Cola museum and the ATL Aquarium a few years back. Anything I *can't miss*? |

The Atlanta zoo - It's worth visiting in my opinion
The Atlanta History Center - I've not been but it looks very interesting The Fernbank Natural History Museum - I found it worth visiting Stone Mountain Park - a wide range of things here, mostly family focused but there's some really interesting history scattered throughout the park. The skyride up to the top of Stone Mountain is pretty wild if you're not a fan of heights like me lol. If you're fit enough you can actually climb up a trail to the top. Unless you have kids or are a kid at heart you can skip the little "village" at the entrance and spend your time checking out the peripheral stuff like the mountain and the stuff around the lake. Some areas might be closed as thats where they film all the riverboat casino stuff for the TV series Ozark. If you are in that area, there's also the Yellow River Animal Sanctuary. Despite being just a couple miles away I've not visited yet. It's a small family owned animal park that has some interesting critters. There's also several civil war related small museums around including the Atlanta Cyclorama and Civil War Museum which is worth the visit if you've never been before. |

2. Don't get stabbed. 3. Don't get shot. 4. Don't get run over by the street racers. Your hotel "just north" of the airport is pretty much in da hood, or Bakara market Mogadishu, Mosul, Kyiv. Welcome to Atl. |

Don't forget any fast food establishment, especially fried chicken joints.
There's always the tried and true Waffle House. The floor show starts after 2 am. |

Definitely hit up the Clairmont lounge.

If he's going to be on the north side of the airport he should be in walking distance of a Racetrack and a just a block away from that is Spondivits next to a Waffle House on Virginia Ave. Very near the intersection of Bobby Brown Ave IIRC.
